Authentic Belizean Adventures.

Thomas and Ivette Wilson were the founders of Bakabush Adventure Tours Ltd. Mr. Wilson started laying the groundwork in 1999, for an adventure tour business to facilitate cruise ship passengers coming to Belize. At that time the only sites being visited by the cruise ship guests, were the barrier reef and the archeological sites; due to the high number of visitors plying these fragile sites, Mr. Wilson embarked on a plan to develop alternate non-typical eco-tour locations. He began with an airboat tour on the wet savannahs and a jungle buggy tour located on the coastal plain, where the pine ridge and tropical broad-leaf forests, including the cave-filled karst hills, were the eco systems highlighted on this tour. For the next few years, the Wilsons continued to develop and grow Bakabush but due to the high cost of borrowing money from the commercial Belizean banks, Mr. Wilson opted to take in outside investors, this to be able to quickly expand the business, improve the quality and standards of the tourism product and provide more employment opportunity for Belizean workers. With H2O-Tierra, the Wilsons are again endeavoring to create employment opportunities for our Belizean workers in the field of cruise tourism.
