We went exploring some southern anchorages this weekend and got to swim with 3 friendly manatees, explored the mangroves, found a cool beach and some great reef… this work feels like pleasure! Barna Rack

Working hard before the new sailing season! How do you like our new cushions? And - finally - new sail covers, ohh how I hated the old ones! And even dinghy is coming along… almost brand new! And so so much more - captain works tirelessly every day - bilges, engine, gauges, switches, water… it just never ends! And guess what? If anything has to happen - it will happen at see anyways! Can’t wait to see new s/v Mira!

We had so much fun with our newest edition stand up paddle board that even dolphins came to check it out! They circled around and teased poor Applejack for an hour before leaving, what an amazing experience, right? Why didn’t we think of it before! So much fun! ROC Paddle Boards

Who hasn’t watched solar eclipse this October 14th in Belize - I think everyone did:) someone from a roof, someone from the comfort of their home - we anchored right outside at George’s Caye and had the whole lagoon to ourselves and a couple of curious dolphins. The best seats in the theater of Universe:) it was such a wonderful experience! It was also our first trip of the season - over 3 months s/v Mira was bored sitting idly on the docks of Old Marina and finally - sailing again! Here is eclipse as we saw it - on the way we stopped at Caribbean Tores and saw a welding mask, so we bought that to view the phenomenon- it worked! What a great teaching for Mira:) # Barna Rack

We love coming for long walks on St George's Caye Belize… this place is steeped in history and you can feel a little awe just hanging in the air 🙂 I heard a lot of cool ghost stories from guys who lived here… what cool places on st George’s caye should be visited? What cool ghost stories you have?

Hunting Caye is around 25 nautical miles away from Placencia and is one of the most remote cayes of Belize. The reef here is untouched and diverse, the sandy beaches are just wonderful! If you have never been - this should be on your list!

S/v Mira is all tied up and in the Reserve Marina to ride out the tropical storm Lisa, that we expect to make landfall tomorrow, on Wednesday, Nov 2… let’s see how it turns out - 2 years ago Nana hit exactly at the Reserve Marina and left Belize city intact - you never know… I guess we’ll let you know on Thursday! Keep safe, Belize!!!
