Reef Friendly Tours are the only eco-tour on the island to be nominated for the National Tourism Awards 2019 by the Belize Tourism Board.

Captain Amado refuses to feed or allow people to touch the sharks, rays and other sealife. And he practices a no plastic or waste policy and has been for the past 10 years. The vision is to preserve and protect the reef for the benefit of generations to come, hoping his business will inspires others to do the same.

Feeding and handling the animals causes long term, irreversible damage. We are already invading their space just by snorkelling with them, but we are there just to look, not to touch.
