The Maya population in Cayo District Belize, faced threats to their cultural identity, language, traditions, and economic opportunities, especially for women and youth. Multiple initiatives were implemented, such as helping women start their own businesses by selling crafts, teaching the Mayan language and music, protecting raptor birds and gastronomy. These actions helped preserve Mayan culture, provided jobs and income, boosted community pride, and promoted environmental awareness.

Get ready for an exciting night hike and camping adventure at the Sapodilla Waterfall in EPNP! Join us as we explore the diverse creatures that roam near the water and the pine ridge area. The expedition is set to depart for the falls on Saturday at 3 pm to set up camp.

Participants are advised to bring camping gear, food, water, rubber boots, headlights, insect repellents, and transportation (preferably a motorcycle) to reach the location. Don't forget your binoculars, cameras, and a sense of wonder to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Gear up and get ready for an unforgettable experience of discovery and enjoyment in the heart of EPNP!

Come stay with us while you explore the MPR! We offer some of the most affordable accommodations in the area yet we sacrifice nothing in terms of comfort. We have plush king size beds, full kitchens with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. We have hot water throughout (bathroom and kitchen) and rainfall shower heads. Pua Villa and Mango both have AC and we have high speed WiFi right in our units with 55” smart TV’s. When you get tired of being inside your villa, go for a swim in our mineral pool, play a friendly game of volleyball or co****le, or hike to the private waterfall right behind the property! ☀️ 🥾 🏊‍♀️ 🌱 🌸
