We're excited to kickstart the year with a remarkable tale of exploration and environmental stewardship! We recently hosted an unforgettable 8-day journey for students and teachers from The Greene School, Rhode Island, USA, in partnership with Global Leadership Adventures. Immersed in Belize's diverse river-to-reef ecosystems, they discovered a wide array of wildlife and cultural treasures, from ancient Maya ruins to the vibrant community of Sarteneja. Venturing into the Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve, they marveled at the wonders of the barrier reef. Their commitment to sustainability shone through as they participated in a community clean-up and planted mangrove and Mahogany trees, leaving a greener legacy. A visit to Wildtracks deepened their understanding of Manatee conservation efforts.
We owe the success of this expedition to our dedicated CBEA and SACD staff, including accommodation providers, restaurants, local artists, and businesses, whose support ensures the success of our endeavors. Special thanks go to Wildtracks for allowing us access to their facility and the Three Lagoons Sustainability Program for their generous contribution of Mahogany trees, a symbol of our collective commitment to preserving Belize's natural treasures.
Join us as we continue to pave the way for responsible tourism, one adventure at a time. Together, let's explore, learn, and protect the wonders of our beautiful bay.
