Spend the first half of the day exploring the various courtyards, ball courts, residential structures, shrines and also climb to the top of the many pyramids🛕 at the Classic Mayan Site of Xunantunich.

After learning about the history of the site and uncovering the many mysteries that still puzzle scholars about this ancient civilization, we will embark on a journey into the 'Mayan Underworld,' known as 'Xibalba' by the ancient Maya.

So we grab our tubes, helmets, headlamps and life-vests and we do a 35 minute hike🥾 through the jungle and upstream to the floating point. Once there we sit on our tubes and just let the gentle streams of the Caves Branch River drag us slowly through the different passageways of this prehistoric cave adorned with spectacular types of natural limestone formations and minerals.
