The season closure is important for allowing lobsters time to reproduce and grow. We have a responsibility to ensure that there’s a healthy population that supports the livelihoods of fishers, preserves marine ecosystems, and upholds Belize’s commitment to responsible marine conservation.

The season closure is from March 1st to June 30th.

Job Posting: Dive Shop Assistant (Part-Time) – Happy Go Luckie Tours Dive Center

Are you passionate about the ocean and looking for a part-time opportunity in a fun and dynamic environment? Happy Go Luckie Tours Dive Center is seeking a Dive Shop Assistant to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Clean and organize the office and gear room
• Pump and handle scuba tanks
• Perform basic pool maintenance
• Greet walk-in customers with a friendly and professional attitude
• Assist customers by discussing tour availability and booking reservations

Qualifications & Skills:

No prior experience is required, but the following abilities will be an asset:
• Punctuality – Arrive on time and be dependable
• Customer Service – Provide a warm and welcoming experience to guests
• Communication Skills – Ability to read, write, and speak clear English
• Attention to Detail – Keep the shop and gear organized and clean
• Self-Motivation – Work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Helpful Nature – Willing to assist wherever needed
• Physical Ability – Must be able to lift and move heavy scuba tanks

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Schedule may vary as needed
• Must be willing to work any day of the week, including holidays, when requested

Additional Requirements:

• Residents of Hopkins/Sittee area are preferred
• Must have reliable means of transportation to arrive on time
• Must have a clean police record
