Los Mangoes is about 150 steps from the sea and about the same distance from Lebeha Drumming Center. Restaurants, shops, grocery stores, churches, laundry service, health clinic, public transportation, etc. are all within walking distance. Relax in your private bungalow, take long walks on the beach, dip into the sea, get into the groove of the drums, watch the sun rise over the Caribbean, and set over the Mayan Mountains or just sit in the hammock and watch Hopkins go by. There are several adventures to participate in nearby for a memorable day trip; including, fishing, snorkeling/diving, hiking to waterfalls, exploring Mayan ruins, tubing, caving, zip lining, repelling, bird and wildlife viewing, and much more. After you venture out on a day trip, come back to your oasis at Los Mangoes. Enjoy a home cooked meal in your equipped kitchen or allow us to arrange a chef, sit back and enjoy a book in your climate controlled atmosphere equipped with double hung windows to reduce bugs and noise, sink into your queen size bed and sleep like you have never slept before. Most everyone you cross paths with will greet you with a 'good morning, good day, or good night'. Hopkins is an enjoyable community where people take time to talk with their neighbors. And we think we have the best neighbors in Belize. Our property manager, Lawrence Casimiro, Junior, lives in the neighborhood across the street and is accessible at any time. Eileen, who lives across the street, is one of the best cooks in Hopkins, not to mention she is one of the sweetest people we have met in Hopkins. Lebeha Drumming Center is near by and Jabar(head of the center) as well as many of the drummers live close by. The time we have spent with our neighbors has been rewarding and invaluable to our overall experience in Belize. Los Mangoes is a private home in the village of Hopkins.
