He resides in Riversdale Beach with his wife Desiree who cooks traditional Belizean food for the trips. Captain Hector Martinez II, a Belizean national, has 6 years experience as a captain and he grew up in Riversdale Village amongst fishers so he knows the sea very very wel. Hector is 21 years old and want to own his own tour company someday. He lives with his partner Jesi and their baby Maria in Riversdale Beach. Hector is excited to show you the seat turtles, sea rays, sharks, groupers, snappers, eagle rays, eels, parrot fish, and other rare fish and amazing live corals. He will get in the water with you and take you to the absolute best spots.

We offer private charter trips with experienced licensed Belizean Captains with 30 years experience to the Belize Barrier Reef for Snorkeling, Diving, and Fishing and to Monkey River.

Charter Fees
10 people, $185 USD/person (includes park fee)

Our 32 ft 7 in, 2016 Intrepid 327 Cuddy goes an avg of 45 mph and a max speed of 55 mph and can hold up to 10 people for private charter to some of the best snorkeling, diving and fishing spots on the Belize Barrier of Monkey River. The boat has a head and fresh water for rinsing off after your trip and a ladder for easy access. The boat has two, 300 yamaha engines, alive well, life jackets, a first aid kit, cell phone, vhf radio, a regular radio, gps and pick up is at your hotel or nearby private island you are staying at.

PLEASE NOTE: For groups of 10 or more we also have an additional boat available. It is a 23 ft panga with a t-top and 70 hp outboard.

In the future we will also have a 24 foot v hull with a 75 hp motor and a bow cap available with a top.

Barrier Reef Tours starts at 8am and wraps up around 2:30pm. All snorkeling and diving tours include two stops, one before lunch and one after. Belizean style lunch prepared by Desiree Faux is provided as well as fruit snack and water. Guests may bring beer and alcohol. Some islands sell beer or liquor. Ask for more details. Guests should bring wear swim suits or change in the hatch on the boat

Snorkeling Tours
Snorkeling options include two snorkeling sites: South Water Caye, Saddle Caye, To***co Caye, Laughingbird Caye and many other secret spots upon request. Typically the boat will pull right up to the dock and you can snorkel right off the beach.. Snorkeling is gear is provided. Contact Hector for Snorkeling Gear Needs.

Diving Tours
South Water Caye which includes two dive sites (Black Beauty, Abyss). One site in the morning and the second after lunch.
To***co Caye also offers two dive sites.
Laughingbird Caye also offers two dive sites
Secret Dive Sites off the wall are also available upon request right off the boat

Fishing Tour
We have all the fishing poles and gear.

Pick up at hotel at 8am and wrap is at 2:30pm. Fishing will including trolling inside or outside (depending on weather) the barrier reef for kingfish, barracuda, jacks, snapper, bonito, yellowfin tuna etc. All basic fishing gear is included. Ask Daniel for specifics.

Monkey River Tour
This tour starts at 8 am and returns around 2pm. The tour includes pick up at you hotel (or you can come to Riversdale Beach) and then an hour ride through beautiful, protected mangroves to monkey river where a special guide will join the group and the boat will continue up the river for about 30 minutes to see howler monkey, beautiful, rare flowers, crocodiles, birds, turtles and more. At one point you will get out and walk through the virgin jungle so wear comfortable shoes for hiking about 30 minutes easy walk through jungle paths.

After the walk enjoy a fresh fruit snack and water on the boat while you return to Monkey River Village where you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch iincluding soda or juice or water is included in the price. Beer or liquor is extra.

Guests should also bring towels, waterproof bug spray, and wear white long sleeve shirt and light colored clothes to repel mosquitoes. Water is provided.
