The small village Santa Cruz (with just a population of 600 inhabitants) showcased in an impressive way what cultural experience can be. For me is was the highlight of the 15th Cacao and Chocolate Festival in Belize. From the traditonal Deer Dance, surrounded by the Maya ancient site Uxbenca, to the liberation of the Blue Morphon butterfly by local school children. It was an amazing experience! Well fitted the BTB slogan "Belize - grab life" in this atmosphere. Congratulations to the Cacao Community Santa Cruz for welcoming all of us and presenting your Maya Culture in such a wonderful way. It was stunning!!!
