SCUBA DIVING- Scuba Diving off Belize's magnificent Barrier Reef, the second largest in the world. Our Dive Shop will take you on a two-tank dive in one of our dive boats that you'll never forget. A picnic lunch or barbeque on an island, will give you time to relax between dives. Daily 2 Tank Nitrox (Enriched Air) also available

ill show you the wonders of the reef and the many beautiful cayes that dot the Caribbean waters off our white, sandy beach. Monkey River Tours-
This Belize freshwater river tour takes you to the South of Placencia to Monkey River, a birdwatcher's paradise. Much of Monkey River has been declared a Special Conservation Area, with Howler monkeys and toucans in the forest, and manatees at the mouth of the river. You'll be able to hike over newly cut trails in the rainforest and get a close-up view of the many animals that call this fascinating river home. Lunch at a local restaurant in Monkey River Town is an extra treat. FISHING-
The flats Inside the Barrier Reef vary from 50 yards to perhaps 1/2 mile across Bordered on all sides by 100 feet of Caribbean Sea. These flats, with Such close access to deep water are some of the world’s best permit habitat Placencia also holds large numbers of bonefish. The Quality of the permit fishing often overshadows this fact, but the bone fishing here is as good as most anywhere else you can cast a fly. Tarpon can also be found here in the channels, lagoons and rivers. Tarpon are abundant and give the angler a good shot at a grand slam should they succeed with the permit and bone fish. Permit, bonefish and tarpon are found here year round. Fly gear can vary according to conditions. On a calm day a #6 outfit is great. With stronger winds, use a #8 or #10. Reels should hold 200 yards of 20 lb. Dacron backing plus floating fly line. Fly lines should be neutral colored. Leaders should be at least 9′ long. Tippets are typically 8-10 lb. test, and should be clear. Flies should be un weighted and tied predominantly on a #6 hook. Best colors are orange or patterns in white, brown and pink.

When in the nation that is home to the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere, better get swimming. was so patient with me and my obsession with my new wedding gift: an underwater casing for my big cam. I've got to practice a lot more and I scratched the dome on our first dive, doh! However, still got some goodies of and with my sexy mermaid wife.

What a beautiful experience… we saw a huuuuge eagle ray, a sleeping sting ray, (apparently there was a 7 foot caribbean shark i missed😣), a huge jelly fish, lots of lobsters, a handful of interesting fish, sea stars… etc. There’s a whole other world down in the sea and we haven’t even discovered over 80% of it yet!! 😱 So crazy to me… Anyway, i hope you’re having a good week if you’re reading this:) #travelbelize #belizescuba #scubadiving #scubadive #scubadiver #scubadivers #belizeadventures #belizetravel #belizevacation #belizeboutiqueresortandspa #belizecity #belizebarrierreef #belize🇧🇿 #placenciabelize #placencia #placenciaresort
