The Rainforest Valley Horseback Ride is perfect for those who want to experience lush jungle trails by horseback. Riding through our private trails provides a perfect opportunity to spot local wildlife and learn about the many medicinal uses of the resident plants. Some lucky riders may even get a chance to see a troop of Black Howler Monkeys that lives in the area. This ride ranges from 2 to 2.5 hours long, so it’s a perfect morning or afternoon ride.

Riding horses with MET directly contributes to our efforts to maintain this pivotal jungle habitat that is home for many local species of flora and fauna.

We all had a great time hosting a Belize Banana Fibers workshop this week with members of our community from the villages of Seven Miles, San Antonio and Cristo Rey. This is an excellent program teaching people how to use their banana fibers to make an array of different products! They focus on teaching new artisans, providing fibers and then paying them to make products. It’s a great opportunity for those who want to learn a new skill and would like to work and make an income from home.
