PUBLIC NOTICE: This cleanup is a final notice to all those that keep leaving garbage for others to clean. We are working with all community partners to roll out an improved system for FINES.

Reminder of our island’s garbage rules:

👉All household garbage MUST be properly bagged

👉All homes MUST have a designated and properly maintained garbage receptacle

👉All receptacles MUST be within the property of owner and only placed on street side the night of scheduled pickup days

👉Number and size of receptacle MUST be enough for the number of homes in each property (can’t have only 1 receptacle for 2,3,4,5,6,8 apartments)

👉All residents MUST separate all GREEN WASTE (branches, lumber, debris) and DOMESTIC/YARD WASTE (appliances, old furniture, large plastics, etc.) from HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE

👉ONLY Household Garbage to be placed in designated receptacles, all other types of garbage MUST be delivered directly to the transfer station at owner’s expense

👉Owners MUST take precautions against tampering by pets and animals AND must re-bag garbage (if scattered by pets and animals before pickup)
