Food4Kids is an inspiring organization that provides meals for kids with limited or no access to food on weekends and during the summer months. Prepared by volunteers and delivered to schools each week, more than 1,000 children in Halton are fed weekly, ensuring no child goes hungry.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a generous cause, and thank our 16 Superior Glove volunteers who've dedicated their time this past autumn to help pack food.

This coming January, four volunteers are heading to Honduras to teach English as part of Superior Glove’s Children’s English Camp.

We're happy to introduce our third volunteer, Jill Dales, Sales Training and Onboarding Facilitator. Jill's commitment to volunteering during our company tours at the Acton headquarters—whether with beavers, embers, or senior groups—really highlights her ability to teach anyone. She's the perfect example of a fun, happy teacher. She is passionate about making a difference and helping out wherever and whenever she can. We’re proud to showcase the dedication of our team members who are committed to making a difference. Meet Carlos Frutos our second volunteer for the Children’s English Camp, who will journey to Honduras for two weeks to teach English to local children.

Carlos is our Regional Sales Manager for Mexico, and he’s going to be a great addition to the third year of this program. He has a natural gift for connecting with people, a real passion for helping others, and his personal journey will inspire the kids during their time at camp.

We are excited to announce that our new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Springdale, Newfoundland is now open. This new space brings together two of our smaller plants, enhancing logistics and overall manufacturing efficiency.

An open house was held at the new facility which allowed for the Superior Glove team to celebrate with friends and family, provided an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work that went into building this facility, and further strengthened our team bonds.

On Sunday, Sept. 29, the Georgetown Hospital Foundation held its annual Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital. The Georgetown Hospital Foundation has consistently excelled in fundraising, with this year's walk goal set at $90,000. Ongoing fundraising and support are crucial to providing top-notch equipment and care, as the hospital services numerous communities.

It was a wonderful day for a walk and Superior Glove was delighted to join the community in supporting this initiative for Georgetown Hospital, which is our Acton headquarter's medical facility. Thank you for having us!

Four volunteers have been chosen to teach English to children in Honduras for two weeks, as part of Superior Glove’s Children’s English Camp.

Today, we’re excited to announce our first volunteer, Tammy Fudge! Tammy serves as a Research and Development Coordinator at our Point Leamington location in Newfoundland, and also works as a Tour Guide at the Canadian Glove Museum. With her extensive experience engaging with young children during her time at the museum and her background prior to joining Superior Glove, she’ll be a great addition to our program. Tammy's passion for helping others, combined with her energetic and positive demeanor, will bring creativity and fun to the children.

Cancer Assistance Services Halton Hills (CAShh) is a remarkable organization that plays a vital role in our community. This year, their annual Tour of the Hills Cycling Fundraiser raised over $50,000, which will go toward families affected by cancer to help them with transportation to and from treatments, as well as other essential needs during challenging times.

Do you have 5 minutes to witness the impact of our Children’s English Camp? This year, we’re thrilled to announce our 2nd year of Children’s English Camp in Honduras! The camp is sponsored and run by Superior Glove and aims to enrich the lives of our team members’ children by allowing them to learn English, whether for the first time or to build upon the language they may already know. The camp kicks off in January and will last for four weeks. This year, we're sending even more North American Superior Glove team members to volunteer as English teachers! We had so many outstanding applications from across our North American locations, but our chosen volunteers this year are Trish Dunn (Acton), Mildred Rowsell (Newfoundland) Amandeep Sran(Acton), and Carolina Bonilla (Southeast Ontario). Since 2014 we have partnered with Scientists in School; their program gives students an incredible opportunity to engage with science in ways that are not always possible within a regular classroom. They inspire children and youth in Canada to be confident in STEM education, build critical thinking skills, heighten their interest in STEM careers, and dream of a future they perhaps never thought possible. Students get to do cool experiments like the one displayed in the video, an activity that is called "Shine Your Light," an optical adventure where one can discover how light travels, passes through objects and makes shadows. Exploring how light bends, bounces and moves through a fiber-optic cable. Through our sponsorship, we’ve already distributed 39 workshops within the Halton Region in Ontario & Newfoundland this year.
