This picture is a great example of how Disney cast members go above and beyond to provide a magical experience: in 2018, my husband and I visited Walt Disney World and as we posed for this picture, the Photopass cast member told us to just keep smiling, he was waiting for something. Turns out, the morning stage show was just about to shoot off fireworks, and the cast member timed this shot perfectly! He could have just taken a few pictures and sent us on our way, but instead he took his time and gave us this magical memory ❤️

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO DAS AT DISNEY PARKS:

Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will soon be making changes to their Disability Access Service - DAS. These changes will become effective May 20, 2024, at WDW and on June 18, 2024, at DLR.

DAS was previously in place to assist guests who have difficulty tolerating long queues due to a disability. The updated system is intended to accommodate "only those guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar," are unable to wait in long lines.

Disney will work with Inspire Health Alliance's health professionals to help Cast Members (when necessary) determine a guest's DAS eligibility. DAS is for guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in line for a long period of time.

Effective May 20 at WDW, guests meet virtually with a Cast Member before arrival to determine eligibility. Day-of registration must also be done via virtual chat. Effective June 18 at DLR, guests can meet virtually with a Cast Member before arrival or day-of at Accessibility Services window.

Notable changes:
- DAS Advance pre-arrival attraction selections will no longer be a default offering to every DAS guest
- Current DAS guests will need to re-apply
- DAS party size max 4 (exceptions may be made for larger families)
- DAS enrollment eligibility increases from 60 to 120 days

Disney will also introduce a defined "return to queue" process for guests who need to leave a queue and re-enter. More information about this process will be shared closer to launch of the new system.

For those with questions or who need to explain more about their situation, Disney encourages guests to reach out to the DAS team for a conversation.

I can't believe it's already been a week since we were in my favorite place 😭 Sean and I had the best time visiting Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World ! I was able to meet more of the Wind Waves and Wands Vacations team during our training and become more familiar with all Universal has to offer. We also tried several new-to-us restaurants and had some delicious meals at Disney! I'm excited to share our experiences with y'all 😍

I had my first guests travel this week! My friend Taylor and her husband Chris celebrated their honeymoon in California at Universal Studios Hollywood ❤️ from meeting Scooby and the gang to exploring the new Super Mario World to hanging out in Hogsmeade, I think it's safe to say they had a great trip! They also visited the Gilmore Girls set during the WB studio tour, and to say I'm jealous would be an understatement!

Another College Program flashback in honor of Veterans Day: Grandpa, a Navy veteran, was selected to serve as the Veteran of the Day at Magic Kingdom! We were taking a bathroom break at the Rapunzel bathroom when a Guest Relations cast member approached Grandpa, who was wearing his ship hat. She thanked him for his service and asked if he'd be interested in participating in that day's flag retreat ceremony. This is such a special memory, and I know Grandpa was so honored ❤️
