Happy Celtic Colours International Festival to one and all!

It's back!! Happy Celtic Colours one and all! πŸŽ»πŸ‚πŸŒž

We are so thrilled to once again partner with the festival in many ways - be it in use of our campus for staff, volunteers, and artists, in our two shows and community meal coming up, or in housing the famed Festival Club which kicks off tomorrow night, Saturday, October 12! We are also carrying items from the 2024 festival merch collection which you just have to come in and see for yourself! Don't miss a visit to the Shop which will close up for the season soon after the festivities wrap for another year.

Wherever you find yourself during these next 9 days, we sure do hope a bit of that Celtic Colours magic finds and inspires you. Here's to another amazing, safe, and glorious festival! SlΓ inte Mhath! πŸŽ»πŸ‚πŸŒž

Today, we honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, reflecting on the deep history and resilience of Indigenous communities across Canada, especially here on Cape Breton Island. It’s a day to listen, learn, and acknowledge the painful truths of the past, while committing to ongoing healing and respect. Let’s stand together in solidarity, fostering understanding, and celebrating the strength of Indigenous cultures that continue to enrich this Island.

When will the leaves change colour on Cape Breton Island? πŸ‚πŸ It’s the #1 question we get asked at this time of the year!

The peak dates are impossible to predict but, typically our peak season for colour ranges between October 10th - 23rd with still some colour after their peak times before the leaves fall. Those beautiful fall colours arrive at different times across the Island so, we have created an infographic to help guide you in your planning!

Stay tuned for our LIVE leaf watch video posts throughout October as we keep you up to date on where leaves are showing colour around the Island!
