Attention all glampers this is the place for you!
Come and escape the hustle and bustle on your very own eco-conscious private oasis centred in the heart of the Canadian wilderness. Located just 250 kilometres Northeast from downtown Toronto, come and unwind with merely the sights and sounds of local wildlife without the need to pitch a tent. This gem is perfect for those comfortable without the luxuries of modern-day life. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a cozy campfire, stargaze, play a round of beach volleyball with friends, cool off in your own small private pond, or participate in a full body cleanse in our rustic wood burning sauna, this place offers it all.
Our oasis is perfect for those wanting to relax and disconnect. With spotty cell-service, and no wi-fi, this is a serene escape ideal for the experienced camper desiring an upgraded glamping experience. The accommodations are powered solely by solar energy and comfortably sleep four adults and a child weighing up to 100lbs. All bed wear is provided and changed after each guests stay nevertheless, you are welcome to provide your own as well. There is no air conditioning or indoor heating and as such, rental is weather permitting.
The accommodations do not have running water however, a potable water tower is supplied year-round for drinking purposes inside the camper. A fridge, stove, and oven are all available inside the camper as well. All kitchen essentials inclusive of utensils, dishes, pans, pots, fire forks, and a kettle are supplied. These items are to be washed outdoors in a provided wash bin or you are welcome to use recyclable disposable materials throughout your stay.
There is a newly built outdoor privy for those essential needs just steps away that is meticulously maintained as well as a fire pit that is perfect for singing songs around. Enjoy your meals inside, out by the picnic table, or inside the gazebo overlooking the pond.
Wood can be purchased from us for 5.00 a bag prior to arrival for both the campfire and the sauna. Due to ecological reasons, only wood purchased from us or gathered from our property is permitted. If you are forest savvy, we welcome you to bring your own ax to use up the fallen lumber on the property (only permitted for use in the fire pit).
Have a desire to explore? This oasis is located just ten-minutes via vehicle from Steenburg Lake public beach, ten-minutes from picturesque Beaven creek, twenty-five minutes from the dam in L’Amable, 2 minutes from official ATV/Snowmobile trails, and just forty minutes south of the city of Bancroft.
Whether you’re looking for a weekend get away with the kids or a weekly escape with some friends this is a one-of-a-kind location that will surely create memories to last a lifetime.
