The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise ice rink has officially closed for the season βΈ
We hope you were able to enjoy skating with this spectacular backdrop this winter, and we look forward to welcoming you back on the ice next season!
As lakes begin to thaw throughout Banff National Park, please obey signs to stay off the ice β οΈ

Are you planning on seeing this view in 2025?
Just like last year, personal vehicles are not permitted to Moraine Lake when the road reopens on June 1st.
To ensure you donβt miss out, youβll need to book a shuttle or guided tour in advance.
Reservations for the Parks Canada shuttles open on April 16th at 8:00am MST, where 40% of seats will be released, with the remaining 60% available 48 hours before each departure date.
Popular dates and times sell out quickly, so if you know when youβre visiting we recommend booking as soon as possible.

Can you name this location? Here's a hint π
Not far from Banff, I put on a show.
Rushing waters, a thundering flow.
Walk along the trail by the river's side.
Views in every direction, far and wide.
You can see the Fairmont Banff Springs, standing tall.
A historic retreat by this waterfall.
Where am I? π€

Hey everyone, it's Emma from the Visitor Services team and today I'll be sharing some tips for exploring the Icefields Parkway π
During winter this scenic drive becomes even more magical with frozen lakes and snow-capped views π
Some of my favourite stops along this stretch of road are:
π - Bow Lake
π - Peyto Lake
π - Weeping Wall
π - Waterfowl Lake
π - Crowfoot Glacier
A reminder that winter tires are mandatory when traveling on the Icefields Parkway from November 1st to April 1st β
There is no cell phone reception and limited services, so fill your gas tank and have a safety kit that includes water, food, extra clothing, and blankets π¦
The weather can change quickly and may even close for avalanche control. We recommend checking 511 Alberta for information on current road conditions π

This warmer weather is perfect for hiking, and these five trails are open year-round π₯Ύ
At this time of year we highly recommend:
π₯Ύ - Wearing ice cleats for extra traction.
π₯Ύ - Checking the Parks Canada trail report.
π₯Ύ - Checking weather and avalanche conditions.
