With the recent snowfall over the past two days, let do the driving for you 🚌

Here is a list of routes that you can take transit during their winter schedule:

🚍 - Route 1 takes you to the Banff Gondola and Banff Upper Hot Springs.

🚍 - Route 2 takes you between the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and Tunnel Mountain.

🚍 - Route 3 runs between the Town of Banff and Canmore.

🚍 - Route 8X is an express route to Lake Louise.

🚍 - Route 9 is a special weekend service to Johnston Canyon.

With the wintry road conditions throughout Banff National Park, delays may occur so plan ahead.

You can also check 511Alberta for the latest road conditions and closures ⚠

Pull up a chair πŸͺ‘ Have you spotted these red chairs in the Canadian Rockies yet?

Parks Canada has placed over 200 red chairs throughout the country, including 11 sets in Banff National Park and 2 in nearby Yoho National Park.

With longer days now upon us, Sam from our Visitor Services team is here to share how you can experience spring in Banff National Park β˜€

πŸ₯Ύ - At this time of year, I'm getting outside to explore the trails. The Bow River trail from Banff to Bow Falls is a lovely stroll or for a more challenging hike, Tunnel Mountain is one of my favourites.

⚠ - Remember to check the Parks Canada trail report for conditions, and I would recommend wearing ice cleats - especially at Johnston Canyon.

⛷ - Spring skiing is a must-do, and our season runs right through until mid-May! Après on the mountain offers live music events and competitions so check the event schedule for more information.

πŸŒ„ - I like to watch sunset, and some of the best viewpoints for this are Vermilion Lakes or Mt. Norquay Lookout.

♨ - The Banff Upper Hot Springs is open daily from 10am to 10pm and is the perfect way to relax in the evening.

As the seasons change, it's important to remember we share this special place with a variety of wildlife.

During spring, bears will begin to emerge from their winter slumber and search for food so make sure to:

🐻 - Make noise.
🐻 - Carry bear spray.
🐻 - Keep pets on a leash.
🐻 - Always stay in your vehicle.
🐻 - Give wildlife plenty of space.
🐻 - Be aware of your surroundings.
🐻 - Properly dispose of food and litter.
🐻 - Report any sightings to Parks Canada.

Are you planning on seeing this view in 2025?

Just like last year, personal vehicles are not permitted to Moraine Lake when the road reopens on June 1st.

To ensure you don’t miss out, you’ll need to book a shuttle or guided tour in advance.

Reservations for the Parks Canada shuttles open on April 16th at 8:00am MST, where 40% of seats will be released, with the remaining 60% available 48 hours before each departure date.

Popular dates and times sell out quickly, so if you know when you’re visiting we recommend booking as soon as possible.

It's Friday and Vikki from our Visitor Services team is here to share some tips for spring skiing β›·

Did you know that Banff National Park has one of the longest ski seasons in Canada? Our season runs all through April until mid-May!

With the recent snowfall we've had over the past few weeks, the ski resorts are at their peak.

I love exploring new runs and if you've never skied here before, both Banff Sunshine Village and The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola have a free ski/ride friends program to show you around the slopes πŸ‚

Spring skiing wouldn't be complete without Après! Check out the ski resorts event page for entertainment including competitions and live music on the hill 🎢

Handy Tip πŸ’‘ Save on gas and take transit! All three ski resorts offer a free shuttle from Banff and back 🚌

Remember all three ski resorts are within Banff National Park so a park pass is required.

If you need help planning your ski trip, you can leave your questions in the comments πŸ‘‡

As the days grow longer and sunshine warmer, you can still expect to see snow-capped peaks and frosted trees over the next few months.

Can you name this location? Here's a hint πŸ‘‡

Not far from Banff, I put on a show.
Rushing waters, a thundering flow.

Walk along the trail by the river's side.
Views in every direction, far and wide.

You can see the Fairmont Banff Springs, standing tall.
A historic retreat by this waterfall.
