Explore Barrington’s history in this exciting scavenger hunt hosted by the Barrington Museum Complex ! On February 22, teams will receive a set of historic photos and search for their present-day locations across the Municipality of Barrington and the Town of Clark’s Harbour.

How it Works:
Receive historic photos via email at 10 AM
Find the matching locations
Take a team selfie at each site and submit your answers

The first team to submit all correct selfies wins! Open to all ages, with prizes for the fastest correct team.

This weekend, the Barrington Curling Club welcomed 25 teams for their annual Lobster Spiel, bringing a great mix of competition, camaraderie, and, of course, fresh local lobster! 🦞

After a weekend of sweeping, sliding, and skillful shots, Team Hurley from Halifax Curling Club came out on top, taking home the championship title! 🏆🦞

A huge thank you to all the teams who participated, the volunteers who made it all happen, and everyone who came out to support and celebrate curling in the Lobster Capital of Canada. We can't wait to SEA you next year for another CLAWsome good time!

Not only did Lucy see her shadow on Sunday, but we officially launched her book by Pam Wamback - Lady Loves Lobster at Capt. Kat's Lobster Shack on Saturday! Thank you to everyone who came out, purchased a book, and enjoyed the day with us! We hope you love sharing Lucy's story as much as we do!
We also welcomed travel media from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta, and England to the Lobster Capital of Canada to SHELLebrate Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl with us along Nova Scotia's South Shore! They ate their weight in Lobster, enjoyed a felting workshop with the Barrington Museum Complex, found out how lobsters make it from the ocean, to the shore and to your door with Fisher Direct, snagged a tour of a Cape Islander in S**g Harbour, and listened locally to a stellar line up of musicians at our Songs of the Sea event Saturday evening!

Yesterday at the Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl Lobster Roll-Off at The Quarterdeck Resort, 11 incredible restaurants battled it out for the title of Best Lobster Roll on Nova Scotia’s South Shore—and guess what? Capt. Kat's Lobster Shack brought the trophy home to Barrington once again!

That’s right, this marks their third win, proving once again that the best lobster rolls come straight from the source. Fresh, local, and made with love right here in the Lobster Capital of Canada—it doesn’t get any better than that!

A huge shoutout to all the competitors who made this event deliciously tough, and a big thanks to our esteemed panel of judges and everyone who came out to celebrate the ultimate taste of Nova Scotia. 🦞🦞🦞
