Handwriting is critical skill but building it up can be fun! We do it with instrument and prop manipulation...
Research shows there's a strong correlation between early handwriting skills and better grades in school. Musical play—specifically fingerplays and instrument manipulation—is an engaging way to build those hand muscles and pincer grasps necessary for good penmanship.

Home sweet home 🏡after a fantastic road trip! 🚗 We travelled with the Great Lakes Christian High School Chorus. They sang beautifully at 8 churches across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. After a couple of days exploring the wonderful west together, the chorus flew home. ✈️ My husband Don and son Joshua drove the bus 🚎 back to Ontario making a few stops along the way. Including @grasslands.nationalpark @voyageursnps @sleepingbearnps Other highlights of the trip included a visit with my cousin in Edmonton and my brother in Calgary. It was a joy travelling with the teens in the chorus! Amazing and delightful young people! We were blessed by the hospitality of many who fed us and opened their homes to us. 🙏 Thankful for safe travels and happy to have a comfortable home to come back to with our other 2 children and pets awaiting! 🙏❤️

Body control can be difficult for little ones, but music can help! Try playing a fast song first and letting them go wild. Then, cue them to stop (like "aaaaaand stop!"), and switch to a slow song so they can regulate their bodies and feel that reward. You're giving THEM the control.
