Well it’s a little late but I want to thank everyone that I had the pleasure of fishing with this year!! I met some amazing people this year and got to catch up with some people from years past!
I feel blessed to be able to take people out and share my fishing passion with them.
I love that my two boys love fishing also and that I am able to help fuel that passion on the water!
I had a lot of fun exploring different waters and species of fish this year it was a nice change from the grind musky fishing can be some days.
I have to thank my very understanding wife Katlyn for allowing and encouraging me to be on the water as much as I was this year. I don’t know where I’d be with out her.

I have to thank everyone that helped me with gear this year, I can’t do this without you.

I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings!!

Well to say Monday wasn’t an epic day for this young lad would be a lie.

Toby booked a half day trip with me on Monday on stoco lake, he was looking to catch a musky and he was eager to learn anything and everything he could about the fish of 10,000 casts.

Toby brought his grandfather for the trip and we started the day with the basics, getting comfortable with the baitcaster and the very important figure 8!

It didn’t take long for both of them to figure both out and were fishing like seasoned veterans.

On our second spot of the day Toby was fishing a Suick Lure Company 9” weighted thriller and it didn’t take long for Toby to see his first follow! After a little excitement the fish darted away. 5 mins later he got his second follow on the same bait, again with the fish not committing boat side.

After a few questions and a couple tricks to try and stay calm when you see these fish follow Toby was eager to get back on the fish we just saw.

We finished fishing the w**d bed and went back to where the first fish showed itself and this time it didn’t follow it ate out on the cast and Toby was fighting his first musky!!

After slipping it into the net Toby was asking all the right questions, “is the fish ok, is it too stressed out for pictures” so I showed him what I was looking for to determine the stress level of the fish and she was fine so a quick bump on the board a few pictures and a great release and Toby was now a successful musky fisherman!!

At 34” it put up a great fight and swam away strong.

If the day ended there most musky fisherman would have been thrilled but Toby still had 3 hours to go on his trip and he was hungry for more!!

Next spot, I saw a fish folling Toby’s lure low and slow it was a decent fish based on the size of the tail (only part I saw) unfortunately that was all we saw of her.

A few moments later another follow this time a more aggressive fish one closer to the one Toby just caught, after a quick boat side maneuver the fish darted off. So we continued to the end of this w**d edge and turned right around to try and get the fish to go.

We it wasn’t long before Toby was fighting his second musky of the trip and after a short battle I slipped the net under her and Toby had his second musky of the day a 32” fish that was a ball of energy!

We fished this spot for the rest of the night as there were fish surfacing all around us and a pile of bait in the area.

Toby proceeded to hook 2 more fish that ended up shaking the hook before the mosquitoes chased us from the water!

I sent Toby home with the bait he had all the action on so he had a confidence bait to put in his slowly building musky arsenal.
I’m looking forward to seeing more pictures from him!!

With 2 events left on the Bassmaster Elite Series Schedule, it's awesome to see 3 Canadians🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 sitting in the top 13 in contention for the Elite Series AOY! Chris Johnston Fishing in 4th, Cory Johnston Fishing in 9th & Cooper Gallant Fishing in 13th! The last 2 events take place on Lake Champlain & the St. Lawrence River, both which should play into our boys' wheelhouse! Best of luck boys, give it your all and let's Git-R-Done!

Well today I got the pleasure to spend some time in the boat with Susan and Andrea during the trip they won for the raffle for Mason to get a new dog. The ladies were egar to get their first casting fish, and Susan made it happen!! Andrea was casting for Muskie’s for the first time and she caught one very quickly and never got one backlash in 30+km/h winds!!

While we were working a deep w**d point Susan calmly said “I got one” she was so calm it caught me off guard when I looked down and seen the fish hooked and only 16” from the tip of the rod. After a decent fight we slipped the 36 1/4” fish into the net!
Susan’s first casting, first on a figure 8 and possibly first on a buck tail!

After a few quick pictures the fish same away nicely and we were onto our next spot.

Unfortunately Mother Nature had another plan and brought in some nasty weather and we decided to continue the trip in the early fall.

Congratulations ladies you persevered through high winds and a very wavy day and made it happen in a short window.
