β˜€οΈ Give it a try this long weekend!

INGREDIENTS

10 oz mixed salad greens
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 cup blueberries
1 cup blackberries, or raspberries
1 avocado, cut into chunks
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or other nut
CREAMY BALSAMIC DRESSING
1 chunk avocado, roughly 2" x 2"
1 small garlic clove
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp dried oregano or basil
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper, (omit for AIP version)

INSTRUCTIONS

This is an opportunity for your child to enjoy a variety of fun activities as they learn creative ways to practice yoga, mindfulness and meditation.

Designed for children ages 5-10 years old.

Each week will be a different theme, with music, games, storytelling and creative time to explore different ways to relax the mind and body.

Feel free to try this chimichurri on top of eggs, pork, chicken and vegetables. πŸ—πŸ³πŸ₯”πŸ₯¦ It’s an excellent complement to many foods. I love adding it to canned fish for a quick and healthy meal during a busy work week. ⏳

1 cup fresh cilantro
1 cup fresh dill
1 small garlic clove
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 lemon, juice only
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Pulse herbs, lemon juice and garlic in food processor. Scrape sides if needed.
Slowly stream in olive oil as the food processor is running. Scrape sides occasionally.
Stir in sea salt and black pepper after processing.
Use right away or store in an air-tight jar in the fridge for use later. Use within 4 days or store in the freezer for up to a month.

GREEN GODDESS DRESSING:
1/3 cup almond or coconut milk, unsweetened
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup fresh parsley, basil or cilantro
1/4 cup chives
Juice of half lemon
1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS
πŸ‘‰For cabbage: Using a deep stove-top pan heat 2 tbsp avocado oil, add cabbage and season with sea salt. Cook at medium heat, mixing occasionally, until cabbage is tender and begins to brown slightly. Remove from heat and mix in olive oil.
πŸ‘‰For chicken: While cabbage is cooking, cook chicken in another stove-top pan. Break meat apart, season with salt and pepper and cook until meat browns slightly.
πŸ‘‰For dressing: Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend/process until smooth.
Place sauteed cabbage on plate, add chicken on top then drizzle with dressing. Enjoy!

πŸ“NOTE: If you're not a fan of cabbage or don't have it on hand, feel free to substitute it with riced cauliflower, spaghetti squash, salad or another base of choice.

Our Story

At Healthletica Hot Yoga and Wellness, we live in the real world, just like you.

For some practitioners, yoga is a spiritual path leading to enlightenment. For some, it’s an all-or-nothing way of life. Others view hot yoga as the ultimate endurance test.

While we respect people at both extremes of the yoga/hot yoga spectrum, we fall somewhere in the middle. That’s why we refer to our approach to hot yoga as a β€œprogressive” form of yoga.

We created Healthletica Wave for real people living in the real world. Parents leading busy lives who are trying to do too much. People who are glued to their computers for too many hours each day. People who, when stressed, may eat, drink or party too much. People who have not yet been able to quit smoking once and for all. People who work too hard and get too little sleep. They’re successful and they’re smart. They know they have to do something to feelβ€”and beβ€”healthier, stronger and more flexible. But they’re not interested in fads or anything that’s high-impact or extreme.
