We are more than halfway through our busy season and we’ve had the most wonderful guests all summer long. It’s always such a pleasure when we receive comments, notes and reviews from people who have enjoyed their stay with us. So many local businesses are gearing up for the busy tourism season ahead. Our friends at Rugged Coast Woodwork and Gallery have been super busy preparing product and a new showroom! They are located in Newman’s Cove, a 15 minute drive from Cape View Escape, & they love to have visitors. Don’t forget to check them out this summer if you’re in the area!

The 2024 Tourism Season is starting off with a bang this year! Who is planning to watch the total solar eclipse on April 8th?! Bonavista is in the Path of Totality and will be the last location to see the eclipse before it moves on to the North Atlantic. We are so excited for this event! ☀️🌕🌎🕶️

I’m very excited to show you what I’ve been working on all winter. My design process is informed by my environment, which here in Bonavista includes a lot of textures, contrasts, and organic forms. The new designs I’m about to release are full of these elements, and draw inspiration from rocks, lichen, water, and ice. They are the result of wanderings and ponderings around this beautiful place where I’m grateful to live, work, and play.✨

We're just 2 days away from opening all of our shops for the season! We've been busy making all of your favourites and there are a few new treats for this year. Our espresso bar in Trinity is ready to roll where we'll be serving lattes, americanos, espressos and more! Look for new chocolate and ice cream flavours at all of our locations coming soon! It’s exciting to see the local seasonal businesses preparing to open for the 2023 season. Bonavista Social Club is a very popular restaurant located in Upper Amherst Cove, about a 20 minute drive from Cape View Escape. I know we’re excited for our next visit to this delicious restaurant!

We have had lots of inquiries about the up coming season. We will be approaching the restaurant menu and service slightly different this year with guest chefs and other talented friends appearing for pop ups and special events.

Our mission statement this year is to put the 'Social' back in Bonavista Social Club. This will be reflected in our service style, which will be more laid back than previous years with no regular table service but still lots of places to have a seat and take in the view. We will not be taking reservations for regular service.

Our menu will include old favorites, some with a new twist and some new additions. Think Pizza, Pastries, Sandwiches, Salads, Soups and of course Fresh Bread.

We will have a few classes and take out offerings in May and will announce our hours at a later time but expect regular hours for June, July, Aug & Sept.
