We were lucky enough to find 2 male orcas today. It’s a rare but always thrilling experience. This is SeaWorld the way it’s meant to be experienced. 🇨🇦

It was a rare occasion out to see the S***m Whales today. Here are some interesting facts about these amazing mammals.

1. S***m whales possess the most asymmetrical skull of any mammal.

2. S***m whales have the largest brain of any living animal, weighing up to 4.2 kg (9.2 lbs.).

3. S***m whales have been sonar tracked in dives exceeding 2,250 m (1.4 mi.). ...

4. The longest recorded dive for a s***m whale was in excess of 2 hours.

It’s very rare to see Fin Whales showing their tails but our guests were treated to a show. Fin Whales, Humpback Whales and Puffins were the main events today.

The puffins are always a favourite for our guests. Watching them fly, skip across the water and bob for capelin is always very entertaining.
Did you know these funny little characters actually fly out to see for that winters? Seems like it would be pretty chilly for such small birds but it’s what they do year after year.

Just imagine a whale the size of a school bus breaching right out of the ocean. Hard to imagine right? Well it’s been happening daily for some time now and we get just as excited as the guests when it happens. Nature sure is incredible and these kinds of encounters are very rare.

Did you know that whales are identified by markings on their tails? We have people from all over the world tracking the whales and we assist where ever we can. It was another great day in the Real SeaWorld!

A group of S***m Whales provided the entertainment today. They were a little ways out but loads of puffins along the way kept us company.
