This is .. JORDAN 🇯🇴

Last week I was lucky enough to spend 9 whole days exploring Jordan. I have been to Jordan before but many of the experiences and some of the areas we explored were new to me.

Jordan is a beautiful and vibrant country filled with undiscovered treasures and beautiful people.

What not to miss when traveling to Jordan:

📍 Petra - This is one of the most popular areas that Jordan is known for. A winding Siq that leads you to one of the most stunning and intricately carved rock cut tomb called the Treasury. The grounds are massive with so many areas to explore. I would highly recommend exploring Petra by day but heading back at night to experience the Treasury lit up under the stars.

📍 The Dead Sea - The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth and is so salty that you cannot help but float. The mud that can be found in the sea is well known for its many health benefits.

📍 Wadi Rum - This orange and red desert is famous for the many movies that have been shot there including Lawrence of Arabia. The towering red and orange rock formations make you feel like you are on mars.

📍 Aqaba - Jordan’s only coastal city is lined with palm trees and has amazing snorkelling and scuba diving in the Red Sea. There are many shops and markets to explore here and beautiful beaches to relax on.

Jordan has so much to offer and I cannot wait to return and explore more of this amazing country!

How YOUR life could change if you built the life of your dreams ✨

Almost 6 years ago to the day I traveled to Jordan for the first time. I got a great deal with WOW Air for roundtrip flights in and out of Tel Aviv for $400.00 with a connection through Iceland. I crossed into Jordan by land and stayed in hostels and airbnbs while explored the country for 3 days.

During that time I had launched my independent travel agent business the year before and was doing okay but I had a lot of work ahead of me.

Fast forward 6 years and I am heading back to the incredible country of Jordan for a conference. But this time is very different.

✨ We are flying a chartered flight for travel agents only!! I have never flown with them and I am so excited to share my experience

✨ We will be staying in beautiful hotels and building and strengthening relationships with some of my favourite suppliers such as Air Canada, Amawaterways, Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold, Kensington Tours, G Adventures, World of Hyatt - which includes one of my favourite resort chains - Secrets! And so many more suppliers!

I will also be meeting with the Royal Jordanian Tourism Board and Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers around the world is crucial to being a successful travel agent!

✨ We will be attending some amazing events, such as:

- A private event hosted by the Royal Jordanian Tourism Board in Petra after dark!
- A dinner in Petra hosted by G Adventures
- 4x4 through Wadi Rum and meeting local Bedouins
- A boat cruise in Aqaba

These are just a few of the events!

I am so excited to share this once in a lifetime trip with you and hope you follow along to see all of the incredible things that this country has to offer!

If you want to know more about being a travel agent hit the follow button!

The way we travel is changing …

I mean, we’ll always love the beaches and hot sun, but more and more, I’m seeing unique requests like:

✨ African Safari’s - Having experienced this myself, I know why safari’s are growing in popularity. A safari is a once in a lifetime amazing experience that clients are not wanting to wait until they retire to have! When we did our safari in Tanzania and Uganda, it was magical and something we will never forget!

✨ Custom trips through Europe - More clients are leaning towards building their itineraries through Europe to cater to exactly what they are looking for. We are hand selecting each hotel and experience and putting them together to curate the perfect trip.

✨ River cruises through Egypt - Cruising along the Nile River is on the bucketlist of many. It is a very unique experience and one clients are prioritizing. Rivier cruising allows you get deeper into a destination and see more than you can with a traditional ocean cruise.

✨ Slow travel through Southeast Asia - The countries across Southeast Asia have so much to see and I have noticed that client trips to Asia are getting longer! We went to Thailand for a month and did not even scratch the surface! Slow travel allows you to dive deep into each culture and get a feel of what day to day life is for locals!

There are so many other unique, bucket-list trips that clients are experiencing and inquiring about!

I love that travel is becoming more unique and personalized. People are setting the intention for their travels then looking for experiences and destinations that will fit what they truly want.

If you’re interested in unique trips and personalized travel planning, you’re in the right place. Send me a message so we can chat about your travel goals and how we can bring them to life!

What is your bucket list trip that you have always dreamt about going on? Tell me in the comments! 👇🏼

Top things to do in Las Vegas 🎰

Las Vegas is one of the only places where you can be in so many places at once! I had been to Vegas once before but spent more time enjoying the nightlife. This time we spent our time meeting with hotels and exploring during the day!

✨ Wander through ancient pyramids and statues at the Luxor hotel

✨ Pretend you are strolling along the streets of Paris in front of the Paris hotel

✨ Take a gondola ride through Venice at the Venetian hotel

✨ See the big apple with the Statue of Liberty at the New York, New York Hotel

✨ Snap of photo of the Trevi Fountain replica from Rome in the Caesear’s Palace Hotel

✨ Explore the stunning seasonal displays at the Bellagio Hotel

If you are heading off of the strip, some of the top places to visit are:

✨ The Valley of Fire State Park

✨ Red Rock Canyon National Park

✨ The Grand Canyon

✨ The Neon Museum

✨ Seven Magic Mountain

✨ Freemont Street - If you want a taste of the old Vegas!

📍 Luxor Las Vegas Hotel

We stopped at the Luxor on our way back from a meeting with one of my favourite hotel chains to get some practise for a trip we are going to be taking next year.

Can you guess where we are headed next year? 👀 ✈️

Happy international women’s day! ♥️ ✨

To all the women who have supported me, from my family to the strangers who became life long friends - happy international women’s day!

Working alongside like-minded women in the travel industry as a travel agent has been a life changing experience.

Traveling is a big part of our jobs and every single trip has been the same for me - we go from being strangers to bonding over our love of travel & running our businesses as independent women!

I have made many friends and had so much support from women across the world and I am so happy that I choose this industry to build my business in.

Although we all work in the same business, there is no competition with the women I know - we help each other and celebrate our wins, which has not necessarily been the case throughout my life, so this world is quite refreshing!

I cannot wait to meet more amazing women, hear their stories and support them in their success ♥️

Do you have women who have changed your life?! Tell me in the comments! 👇🏼

Top things to do in Tulum 🌴

Visit a cenote - Tulum is surrounded by countless cenotes to choose from, some close to Tulum’s centre and some stretch out as far as Valladolid, where the famous Cenote Suytun is located

Visit the ruins - The Tulum ruins are a stunning sight sitting on top of a cliff with the ocean as a backdrop. You can also venture out and visit Ek Balam or the Coba ruins!

Eat! - There are so many food options in Tulum to choose from, my recommendation would be Pepe’s Best Taco food truck. Every day there was a long lineup to get a taste of these delicious tacos. They were some of the best I’ve had - there was a mango salsa on top that was so delicious!

Explore the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve - If you want to head out of the centre of Tulum, this reserve is a tropical paradise where you can explore the Muyil ruins, swim in cenotes or relax on the beaches. There is also a wide variety of wildlife! If you want to unplug a little but from the hustle and bustle of Tulum, you can opt to stay at the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve and soak up the beauty!

Go to a festival in the jungle - This is not something we normally do, but we were glad we went!

Relax on the beach - One of the most beautiful beaches in Tulum is Playa Paraiso which is also where the famous slanted palm trees are. If you are staying in downtown Tulum and want to go to the beach, be prepared to pay a hefty fare if you do not have a rental. There is no uber in Tulum and the taxis were charging $60.00 per direction!

Take a cooking class - there are some amazing cooking classes that offer traditional experiences where you can visit a Mayan village and learn to cook local delicacies.

Dive in a cenote - Imagine exploring the underwater world of a cenote! You must be dive certified in order to dive the cenotes.

Swim with whale sharks - another bucketlist experience! You do not need to be certified for this activity as you cannot dive with the whale sharks, only snorkel!

Have you been to Tulum? What was your favourite part? Let me know below! 👇🏼

Travel memories ✈️

The other day I was looking back at old travel photos and I started thinking about past trips and what my life was like before travel.

It is amazing to me how much travel has changed my life in every single way and it got me thinking, what trips had a large impact on me?

What country sparked my travel bug?

✨ Mexico - it was the first county I visited outside of the US and I loved it - I have been back at least 8 times with many more visits planned!

What trip or country changed my life?

✨ Vietnam - it was the country and the trip itself. It was my first time traveling anywhere other than the US or the Caribbean and it was one of my favourite trips that I have been on ♥️

What trip country made me emotional?

✨ Tanzania - seeing the great wildebeest migration and listening to baby lions roar was at the top of our trip to Tanzania and a magical experience
✨ Uganda - trekking to see the gorillas in their natural habitat is a trip I will remember forever!

What trip or country had an impact on your life? Was there a special place that changed your life? Tell me below! 👇🏼

My first time SCUBA DIVING 🤿

I have always dreamt of what it would be like to dive. I researched the best dive sites in the world and where I would get my PADI. I planned trips over and over again but fear always got the best of me.

My heart raced at the thought of being under water and trying to breathe through the regulator - I am claustrophobic and as soon as I started thinking about being deep under the oceans surface that was the end of planning my trip.

When we were planning our most recent trip to Mexico, Kris stumbled across a diving company that allowed you to do shallow dives without first getting your PADI.

A professional diver was right with you the whole time and went through safety training on land and in the pool beforehand. I was nervous as diving is amazing but knew it could be dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing. We decided to try it, if I panicked then I would know diving wasn’t for me.
And I admit, I panicked in the pool a bit but I told myself - just breathe.

When we got into the ocean, it was a completely different feeling and a whole new world opened up. Our first dive was the MUSA underwater museum which is a bunch of sculptures on the ocean floor that encourage coral growth. The other was the Manchones Coral Reef where we swam with colourful fish, lobsters and crabs.

It was one of the most peaceful and incredible things I have ever experienced! If I had let fear continue to take over I never would have checked diving off on my bucket list and I wouldn’t be planning our next dive and getting our PADI.

We have done some amazing things over the years around the world, but diving was one of our top experiences (in the ocean!).

The best things in life come when we get out of our comfort zone and stop letting fear take control.

Have you gone scuba diving? What was your experience like? Let me know below!👇🏼

Top things to do in Isla Mujeres 🌊

Rent a golf cart - This is the most popular way to get around Isla Mujeres. The island is small, and takes around 45 minutes or so to do a complete loop, however there are so many places to stop and visit, eat or take in the views.

Swim at one of the beaches - Playa Norte is one of the most beautiful beaches in Isla Mujeres and is not far off of the main shopping strip. There are loungers and umbrellas to rent for 500 pesos, or you can grab a spot at one of the restaurants.

Visit Punta Sur Park - Head to this eco-park to see Temple Ixchel which honours the Mayan goddess of fertility. You can also walk along the coastline which is full of rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Snorkel - There are a few areas that you can go snorkelling around the island. The MUSA Underwater Museum is full of unique underwater sculptures, such as a beetle car, a man standing with a dog asleep at his feet and many other unique statues. This is where we went scuba diving! You can also snorkel at El Farito where you can see coral and many colourful fish.

Shopping - When you step out of the Marina, you will be met with countless shops and restaurants. There are so many places to choose from - the streets are full of beautiful purses, hats and dresses. One thing to note is the jewellery stores - some of these shops sell what look like stunning, real pieces - however they are fake, usually cut from glass so be careful!

How to get to Isla Mujeres?

By ferry - The ferry runs every half an hour from different marinas - we left from Puerto Juarez, and our ride was about 25 minutes. The cost is dependant on what marina you are coming from - our tickets from Puerto Juarez were 270 Mexican pesos per direction.

Tour - years ago we did a tour that included snorkelling and a visit to Isla Mujeres. We only had 2 hours to explore so we visited the island twice when we came back!

Private boat - we took a private catamaran to the Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets - you can also charter any type of boat to take you to the island and main marina.

Top 3 things we did near Cancun 🌴

Mexico is one of my favourite countries to visit, I have been at least 8 times, and plan on visiting many more!

Although I do enjoy an all-inclusive here and there, I love to get off the resort and explore the surrounding area.

If you are heading to the Cancun area, here are the top 3 things that we did while we were there:

Scuba Diving - This has been on my bucket-list for years but I was always afraid of panicking while underwater. I admit, I did panic a little bit in the pool when we were going through our safety training BUT once I jumped into the ocean, all of the worry immediately went away. This was definitely one of the most incredible things I have done (ocean-wise) and I am hooked - currently planning our next dive!

Sailing on a private catamaran - This was a dream - we were picked up at the Marina Hacienda del Mar and whisked away to a new luxury hotel on Isla Mujeres (more on that later!). We had the whole catamaran to ourselves and a wonderful crew. We have been on many catamaran’s in the past but having one all to yourself as you sail through the ocean is pretty special!

Visiting Isla Mujeres - This was our second time to the island (and we visited twice during our stay!) and I would definitely return. The island has a laid back feel, with countless shops, bars & restaurants. The most common way to get around is by golf cart, you can drive the whole island in about 45 minutes or so, depending on how many stops you make. The island is full of breathtaking views from crystal clear blue water to towering cliffs. Isla Mujeres is a must visit!

Winter is creeping up fast! ❄️

It is -10 today here in Muskoka!

These temperatures usually get clients thinking about their next vacation (if they have not already booked!) - whether it is somewhere warm over the winter, or a trip later in 2024.

Where should you go and what is your travel style for your next luxury or adventure couples trip?

Two important questions, but before you answer them, ask yourself this:

Do you want to be doing all of the research, booking, and planning yourself?

Or would you much rather delegate it to someone else during this busy time of year?

If you’re cringing at the thought of sitting on Google trying to:

Find reviews for the resorts you’re considering

Decide which tours match your travel style

Figure out how to create a customized itinerary around Europe or for an African Safari

Or decide which suppliers are trustworthy and vetted…

It’s time to call in reinforcements.

All it takes is heading to my website (link in bio) and filling out a contact us form or emailing me at:

We can schedule a complimentary call to discuss your next trip and get planning!

Is anyone celebrating a big anniversary next year?! 🥂🍾

Whether it’s 5, 10, 20, or 30 years, travel is a great way to reconnect, and reenergize your relationship.

Of course, you’re talking to a girl that thinks travel is the cure for anything and everything! 😀

So where do you begin? Let me give you a few trip ideas to get your wanderlust going:

🍝 Explore Rome - Take a vintage vespa ride along the coast, sip espresso in piazzas, learn how to make authentic Italian dishes.

🌊 Luxury In the Caribbean - watch the sun set over the Caribbean sea from your private villa complete with butler.

🦍 Trek with gorillas in Uganda - explore the insanely stunning landscapes across the country and spend time observing a day in the life of a silverback gorilla.

🌌 Aurora Chasing In Iceland - soak in the endless natural spas around Iceland by day, and chase the Northern Lights by night.

🍷 Wine Tasting In Portugal - Vineyard hop through Porto, taking in the stunning landscape, and eat some of the best seafood in the world.

🌋 Climb a volcano in Vanuatu - Head off the beaten path while getting your adrenaline pumping as you trek Mount Yasur.

Fairmont Chateau Laurier 🏰

Situated right across the river from Parliament Hill in Ottawa is the iconic Fairmont Chateau Laurier.

As soon as I walked through the golden doors I was taken back in time; the decor in the lobby alone is stunning! The Fairmont opened in 1912 and has preserved the French Renaissance style architecture throughout the hotel.

Did you know that the Fairmont has a gold section, which has a private check-in, gold room only floors as well as a luxurious lounge?

Our favourite suite within the gold collection was the Presidential Karsh Suite. This suite belonged to the world-renowned portrait photographer, Yousuf Karsh, where he, along with other rooms in the hotel, held photoshoots for international celebrities.

If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting Ottawa that is:

🗝️ Luxurious - from incredible suites, to private lounges

🗝️ Sustainable - with their programs to support the preservation of bees, commitment to single use plastics and their eco meet program

🗝️ In the centre of everything - walk out the golden doors to endless options of restaurants, bars, cafes and sightseeing

🗝️ Has amazing staff - every staff member that we came into contact with in the hotel was very friendly, helpful and professional

Then the Fairmont Chateau Laurier is the place to stay!

Have you stayed at a Fairmont before? Comment below!

Sometimes life calls for a trip, and sometimes it calls for a life-changing adventure.

And what’s the secret to that?

It’s all about the finer details, the connections, and the unique personal touches.

➡️ That undiscovered café tucked away in a cobblestone alley.

➡️ That breathtaking sunrise spot only the locals (And your favourite travel agent) know.

➡️ A fabulous personal tour guide who surprises you with stops to places you won’t find on Google just yet.

This is where I come in. I have a little black book that I have spent years curating while traveling the world. It houses hidden gems, luxury accommodation, names of the best tour guides across the globe (who I have met and traveled with personally) and so much more!

If you’ve been feeling the wanderlust rising lately and you’re looking for your next adventure, contact me! Every adventure needs a personal touch and an expert guide.

Has this ever happened to you? 👇🏼

Life is WAY too short not to enjoy every minute of your vacation!

Have you ever done all of the research online, took recommendations from friends, or booked something you saw on instagram and landed on what you thought was a great vacation?

BUT your vacation ends up not being quite what you envisioned for yourself?

It sounds to me like you may want to look into working with a travel agent that specializes in curating vacations tailored to clients individual needs for your next trip!

What does travel curation look like?

First, I get to know you, your interests, likes, dislikes, and travel goals. A hotel, destination, tour, cruise; may have been amazing for one person, but may not align with your travel style. Everyone travels differently and has different needs and wants along the way.

After I get to know you and what you are looking for, I curate an itinerary based based on YOUR travel style.

Your itinerary can be curated as little or as much as you want — it’s all about your preferences, the pace you like to travel at, and the activities you enjoy.

Whether you enjoy sitting poolside at a luxury resort in Mexico, indulging in the exquisite cuisine or observing lions wander the Serengeti on safari before returning to your private villa to get ready for a luxury dining experience in the bush - we will work on building the perfect itinerary for you.

It’s a truly personal experience, and it guarantees that you get what you want out of your travels!

If you are ready to explore the endless opportunities available to make your next vacation an incredible one, get in touch with me!
