Wed. Dec. 11/24 - It was a magical Christmas themed day as we attended the Toronto Symphony Holiday Pops concert under the direction of Jeff Tyzik. Denzal Sinclaire was the guest vocalist along with Etobicoke School of the Arts Chorus. A delicious lunch was served at the Hothouse Restaurant prior to the 2pm performance. Thank you, Roxanne Vollett, for driving her first tour for HTL. Merry Christmas, everyone.

Thurs. Dec 5/24 - Niagara Lights & Sites Tour. We were fortunate that after a stormy week, we had sunshine & dry roads for our day trip. We visited NEOB niagara and were hosted by Michelle & Rachel. We learned about the different types of lavender grown on their farm and their uses. A beautiful leisurely drive through Niagara-on-the-Lake and along the Niagara River brought us to Table Rock Restaurant.
We enjoyed a delicious meal with excellent service & the best seats in the house. Clear skies, stars above & snow on the ground made the lights more magical. We toured the lights around Dufferin Pond and throughout the city before returning to Barrie. Thank you to Mike Killingsworth for driving & kindness to our guests. Susanne

Overnight Mystery Tour - Nov 20 & 21. This time last week, we travelled to Petrolia to see the Christmas variety production of Starbright Christmas. The singers & musicians were excellent. We were treated to a beautiful sunset after the storm enroute to our hotel - The Four Points Sheraton in Point Edward/Sarnia. Our second day was of a more educational nature as we learned about the North American discovery of oil in Oil Springs, Ontario in 1858. We visited the Oil Museum of Canada. A large shout out to the staff who opened an hour early and treated us to a private talk & film. Then it was off to Marcanda's Tea Room and gift shop for a delicious lunch prepared by the owner, Marilyn. Our group, including the men, took advantage of our location and enjoyed time for Christmas shopping. Our last stop of the day was at Munro Honey & Meadery at Alvinston. John kept our attention and shared the history of one of the largest producers of pure Canadian honey in Ontario. We learned firsthand about their latest endeavor, producing award winning mead & coolers. We also got to taste test the various products. The gift shop was popular & many treasures found their way home to Simcoe County! Thank you to all the Munro Honey staff for their hospitality! Thank you to Pryce Goulding for driving. We are going to repeat this tour next year for everyone to enjoy, but of course, it won't be a Mystery. Cheers! from Susanne

Sat. November 2 - we celebrated our 39th Anniversary in
Business by recreating our first tour to St. Jacobs following the same cross country route. It was a beautiful sunny day. Highlights included: St Jacobs Market, the Poultry Place, Hamel Brooms (established in 1908), shopping in the village of St. Jacobs, Picard Peanuts ending with a delicious dinner at Anna Mae's Restaurant in Millbank. A simply stunning sunset was enjoyed by all as we drove home. Thank you to Frank Kesner, who was our driver on Saturday. We wish to express our gratitude to our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the years, as we begin our 40th year in business. Julie & Susanne

October 16, 2024 - Hamilton Tours Ltd. enjoyed a day in Kitchener Waterloo at the celebration of Oktoberfest. Frank Kesner drove us to The Concordia Club for a delicious noon meal of cabbage rolls, weiner schnitzel, sausage, chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salads, and apple strudel. The live band kept the dance floor hopping. We stopped at Picard's in St Jacobs for some chocolate treats and enjoyed the colours of the season as we drove across country back to Bradford and Barrie.
