Another year of bear camp. Missed that place and was glad to finally be back, even with all the rain we had. We had a great group of guys who harvested great bears. We look forward to seeing these guys again. After not being there for 3 years the bate sites were sure getting hit and everyone had their chance. Can’t wait till next spring, it can’t come soon enough.

Another spring bear camp on hold. We are hoping the border will open this summer and we can get bac to business as usual. We have been given approval to utilize the unused tags so we can catch up when the border opens. Thank you for your understanding, we are looking forward to getting back there.

We have been hoping and praying for a miracle since we first heard of the crash on Saturday. I can't get my head around the idea that my friend and BTU is lost on the bottom of a lake. As the hours and days tick on reality sets in and we have to accept...life is short and you never know when your last day will come.Jonathon had just graduated from the Cessna 185 to the De Havilland Beaver when I showed up around 16 years ago to buy 2 fly in bear camps in middle of no where. I am pretty sure he thought i was crazy, I was trying to get through the 2003 BSE cattle crisis but Johnathon was raised on a cattle farm himself so he under stood. Within a couple years he was on the Otter "BTU" flying myself, my family and friends and our clients on wilderness adventures. We have always considered Jonathon and Tanya a part of our team and family, they were our connection to the outside world while we were in the bush. Organizing our flights and supply runs, any additional items we forgot, we were always confident when dealing with them.Words can't ease the pain that Jonathan's family is going through but rest assured your loss is felt by many. He will leave a huge hole in the Bluewater Aviation crew and the Bissett community. I will miss our conversations, your quick wit, sense of humor and smile.You will be missed by many my friend

The acorns & corn are growing!!! Nights are getting cooler and deer season will be here before u know it. Going to start gathering up trail cams and see what is all out there. some deer hunting spots open for this fall if anyone is interested.

Just got off phone with DNR. They have 4 sprinklers going on my island camp on Hobbs lake. Fire is less then 2 miles from camp and tomorrow is calling for East wind....not looking good.
