After a beautiful al fresco dinner we made our way from Ouarzarzate to Marrakech which took us over the highest point of the High Atlas Mountains. Had a great visit at tje Alt Ben Haddin Kaabah where today's geoup photo was taken

Enroute to Ouarzazate, the film capital of Morocco. Made a stop at a beautiful gorge and of course another oasis filled with date palm and a couple abandoned villages due to the amount of maintenence involved in keeping up the adobe bricks.

A fabulous night at our camp in the Sahara with all the comforts of home including AC and electricity. We had a camel ride into the desert to watch the sunset before coming back to the camp for cocktails and a bonfire plus a chance to see the full moon rise over the sand dunes. Dinner was excellent and followed by live entertainment. I have included a few pics of the sunrise and our breakfast which is the beat one to date on the tour.

Our first oaais, this one stretching 126 kms and home to over a million date palms. Just one photo today as we will soon be getting into our 4 by 4s to make our way to the camp in the Sahara with no access to wifi.

Always a foodie I would like to share some photos of my favorite meal to date, dinner at Maison Blanche in Fes and offering a mix of French and Moroccon cuisine. The pigeon pie, a local specialty was especially tasty.

Another sunny day and we are off to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis before returning ro Fes to visit some local artisans. We will finishe the day with dinner and a folklore show but not before enjoying a dip in the pool at our hotel.

Our first day in Morocco. Sun is shining and we had a wonerful tour of Casablanca. Visited the mosque with its fabulous decorations, the corniche with it-s many bars and restaurants, the medina with it's many shops and markets and had a delicious dinner at Rick's Cafe.
