One of the highlights of sailing on beautiful Danube is visiting this Benedictine Abbey in Melk.
Melk Abbey is one of the biggest and most beautiful European Baroque ensembles. Its splendid architecture is famous worldwide and part of UNESCO’s world heritage.
The Abbey was built in the late 11th century and it is still in amazing condition and still active!
When I have visited it, our tour guide was ex-monk from the Abbey. It was totally amazing to hear his stories about the traditions and customs of the monastery....

One of the resorts I have visited and really enjoyed is Sandals Royal Bahamian.
Located in Nassau, Bahamas, this relatively small property has beautifully maintained grounds, large pools and private island with a restaurant where you can taste conch!

There are many tour operators that offer bus tours to help you to see the world.

When in Europe, I would strongly suggest stopping to visit Vienna. This beautiful capital of Austria is full of history, music and culture!
Check out the pictures I took when I was there...St. Stephen's Cathedral and Schonbrunn Palace are places that should be visited (in my humble opinion)

As you probably already know, we are planning a river cruise next May to visit a number of cities in Europe which should be on everyone's list of places to see.
Today, I will share the pictures of one of my favorites - Budapest!
The city is located on both side of Danube - the flat part is Pest, the hilly part is Buda.
The city offers so much history that even 1 week might not be enough to see all the sites: The Heroes' Square, the Fisherman's Bastion, The Parliament Building, Buda Castle District, Shoes on the Danube memorial to the victims of Holocaust... just few places to name...
