Permanent resident applicants who were approved for permanent residence on or before March 18, 2020.

Individuals entering Canada are required by law to quarantine themselves immediately for a period of 14 days to help avoid the potential spread of COVID-19.

Anyone entering Canada is required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test before arriving in the country.

Starting February 22, 2021, all individuals arriving through land borders or by air will be required to take a COVID-19 test at arrival and another one after their 14 day mandatory quarantine period.

Most Air travellers will also be required to spend 3 nights in a government -authorized hotel at their expanse upon arrival.

Lastly, all travellers are required to submit contact and travel information through the ArriveCAN app before crossing the border or flying into Canada.

The Government of Canada strongly advises against non-essential travel at this time.

Essential travel is defined as travel which is non-optional and non-discretionary. Please visit the Government of Canada’s website to see examples of what they determine to be essential travel.

You will undergo the required COVID testing in Clark rather than in Manila, and quarantine at a Clark hotel accredited by the Philippine health and tourism authorities.

Once you receive a negative test result (usually in 48 hours of the test, although the release timing varies and may be longer or shorter), non-OFWs and foreign nationals may avail of the free shuttle/bus service to NAIA Terminal 2 that PAL will schedule, at no extra charge. The transportation for OFWS will be handled by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Please note that the cost for the COVID tests and the quarantine hotel will be borne by the traveler. (For Overseas Filipino Workers - OFWs, the government will shoulder the cost of tests and accommodation).

For more information on the arrival process, please check the link: https://bit.ly/PALTravelsToPH

The hotel or quarantine accommodation for OFWs is arranged by OWWA upon arrival in Clark.

Travel advisory Cebu Pacific !!

Two-year travel fund also extended up to the same period

As the Philippines' largest carrier continues to keep its passengers in mind, Cebu Pacific (CEB) has once again extended its flexible options for everyone traveling until March 31, 2021. These options include Unlimited Rebooking and a Travel Fund valid for two years.

"We will continue to monitor the operating environment and listen to the concerns of our passengers. We are encouraged by the reopening of domestic tourism and we will do our part in ensuring that our passengers travel with peace of mind. We understand that it may take time before trust and confidence in air travel is restored, that is why we have decided to extend our flexible booking options until the first quarter of 2021," said Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing & Customer Experience.

Unlimited rebooking of flights and Two-year Travel Fund validity

Passengers traveling until March 31, 2021 may rebook their flights as many times as they want, or put the full cost of their ticket into a Travel Fund valid for two (2) years, with rebooking and cancellation fees waived. A minimal fare difference may apply for rebooking of flights.

The two-year Travel Fund may be used not only to book new flights, but also to purchase add-ons, such as baggage allowance, preferred seats, pre-ordered meals, hygiene kits, and travel insurance.

Options for passengers with cancelled flights

Those with cancelled flights will continue to have the following options: Travel Fund valid for two years; Unlimited rebooking – both rebooking fee and fare difference are waived if new travel date is within 90 days from the original departure date; or Full refund.

Everyone may conveniently manage their bookings online and choose their preferred option through the Cebu Pacific website: bit.ly/CEBmanageflight. Log in using your Getgo account, if applicable, or enter the Booking Reference to access the booking online to easily make desired changes. Bookings can be modified up to two (2) hours before the flight.

Passengers may also easily update their contact information, addresses and correct misspelled names, nationality, birthdays and salutation through the same portal. Those who booked their CEB flights via travel agencies must coordinate requests through their respective agents.

Travel AdVisory From PAL

For OFWs flying home from Middle East, PAL offers test results in 24 hours upon arrival

Overseas Filipino workers flying Philippine Airlines from the Middle East will secure their free RT-PCR test results within 24 hours after arrival in Manila.

From December 21 to 31, 2020, land-based OFWs and dependents departing from Dubai, Doha, Dammam, Riyadh, and Bahrain may now avail of PAL's own One-Stop Shop (OSS) facility for their complimentary RT-PCR tests upon arrival. The 24-hour turnaround time for the PCR tests results in a shorter quarantine isolation period of no more than one night, as compared to the 2 to 5 days averaged by other testing centers.

PAL is offering this special holiday privilege exclusively for OFWs and their dependents as a way of thanking the country's modern-day heroes, so that they may maximize the time they spend with their families during the Christmas and New Year season. Tests are free of charge.

The Philippine Government through the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) will continue to handle the quarantine hotel accommodations of all arriving OFWs.

To avail, passengers on these flights must register to PAL’s electronic Case Investigation Form (eCIF) as early as three (3) days before departure at https://bit.ly/MNLPALeCIF.

The PAL OSS facility at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 is operated under a partnership with the Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics, a DOH-accredited laboratory.

Sea-based OFWs and dependents shall also enjoy free RT-PCR tests to be conducted by another laboratory testing facility in NAIA Terminal 2.

For OFWs flying on PAL from Manila to Dubai between December 21 to 31, the flag carrier is also offering a special RT-PCR test rate of only PHP 2,000 through PAL's own Testing Facility at the PAL Learning Center in Ermita, Manila. Test results are also released within 24 hours.

To avail, and upon entering the testing facility, OFWs including traveling dependents must present their ID, PAL ticket with the MNL-DXB flight, QR code after registering via PAL's PPHD at https://bit.ly/PALIntPPHD, and documents proving employment abroad such as a valid visa or an Employment Overseas Certificate (OEC).

The flag carrier likewise reminds all passengers flying to, from, or within the Philippines to download the Traze Contact Tracing app and register through the app before proceeding to the airport for their trip. This is a requirement of the Philippine Government authorities for all international and domestic passengers, whether arriving in or departing from any airport in the Philippines, to enable health authorities to trace and notify travelers in case of health concerns

From its original departure time of 6:25AM from Manila's NAIA T2, the NEW departure time is 8:15AM (same terminal). Arrival in GenSan is at 10:10AM.

Travelers to GenSan via PAL must be at the Antigen testing center at PAL Gate 3, 1300 Andrews Ave., Pasay City anytime from 2 to 8 hours before their 8:15AM Manila-GenSan flight.

The antigen testing center's NEW operating schedule is from 12:01AM to 6AM every Monday and Thursday from its original 12:01AM to 4AM schedule.

Antigen testing may be carried out via drive-thru or walk-in. Results are released within 30 minutes and travelers may avail of the free PAL shuttle service to the airport.

PAL is giving passengers of Manila - General Santos flights an early Christmas treat via free Antigen testing until December 17.

To avail of free antigen testing, passengers must register via PAL's testing partner’s booking portal at bit.ly/PALHMIRegForm.

A negative Antigen test result, or alternatively an RT-PCR test, is a requirement of the General Santos local government.
