From flights to the best hotels, activities, insurance & all the little details, planning the perfect trip is what I do best Travel has been my passion and my raison d'etre for as long as I can remember. As I child I was fortunate to travel from my home country (England) overseas many times for vacations around Europe, to North Africa, and to Canada. As I became an adult I continued to vacation wh
enever I could, and then finally after I finished my Psychology Master's degree I took a year off and planned my "around the world" trip. I planned to spend 6 months in Thailand, but somehow I got stuck there and ended up living and working in Asia for the next 3 years. Travelling to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Sri Lanka while I was there. I began a career working in the hotel industry and fell in love with Hospitality. I worked for Starwood Hotels in their Guest Services division in several hotels over the next years and returned to England to complete my Master's Degree in International Hotel Management. Moving to the Maldives I worked in another chain of incredible 5-star hotels, taking care of guests and training staff to meet the standards required of 5 star European and North American guests. I was lucky enough to travel often in this job and experience many beautiful hotels around Asia. It can definitely be said I know a good hotel from a mediocre one at fifty paces! After moving with my family to Canada I took some time away from the Travel Industry and ran my own toy store. Building and running this retail business from scratch was both hugely challenging and very rewarding. When the time came to sell that business and move on, there was only one place for me to move to. Back into my first love, the travel industry. I have traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia. I have also spent several months in New Zealand and Australia. I did the Annapurna Circuit and Everest Base Camp treks in Nepal and went looking for Tigers in Chitwan National Park. I have worked in Conservation in the Thai rainforest, been spotting Orangutans in Borneo, and have also taken many Diving trips in Asia and Mexico. Closer to home, I have been to Jamaica as well as Mexico several times and Disney is a firm favorite! I plan to do more Caribbean trips soon to check out the best hotels in those destinations. I have a particular interest in Eco Travel, as well as diving holidays and animal or conservation activities and family adventure style holidays. I am thrilled to be working with TravelOnly, one of Canada's largest travel agencies, that is founded on a family business and a community of home-based agents. Their values appealed to my small business ethos and with their amazing network of the very best suppliers and deals in the business, I am excited to learn and grow with them. Wherever you are traveling, and whatever your budget, my goal is to provide you with superior knowledge, the kind of service you only expect in 5-star hotels in The Maldives (and trust me, you have to see that to believe it!), and my own unique talent for finding every special deal, important tip, and unique experience that there is to know about your destination. I will plan your vacation as if it were my own. Whatever level of planning you need, whether you like to do it all yourself, or just want to be told when to show up, I have you covered! And if you just need a flight booked or a hotel room confirmed, I can do that too! (but I will probably check to make sure it's a good hotel!). TravelOnly has been a Canadian premier travel company with over 40 years of selling travel, and a licensed member of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA), International Air Transport Association (IATA), Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB)
