Happy Thanksgiving to our neighbours to the south!

Why is Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday in November? (In 2024, it's the LATEST this holiday can be held). What were the real reasons both Washington and Lincoln proclaimed a day of Thanksgiving? (No, it's not about a Pilgrim feast.) Get the facts.

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful Remembrance Day this long weekend.

Taking time to feel gratitude for the service and sacrifices that have been made, and for the freedom and stability that we in Canada can enjoy.

Lest we forget.

While banks and post offices will be closed nationwide on Remembrance Day, shops and businesses could be open depending on where you live in Canada.

Living in dignity and free from poverty is a fundamental human right. Yet, if current trends continue, 575 million people will still be living in extreme poverty by 2030.

“Let’s re-commit to making poverty history," said UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Thursday’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

A message from the Orange Shirt Society on this, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

A message from Phyllis Webstad the Orange Shirt Society and the Board of Directors and our Ambassadors Carmen Moore and Simon Baker. 🧡🙌🏼

Today, we come together to acknowledge and honour all Canadians, especially our Residential School Survivors. On this Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we invite you to take a moment to reflect, learn, and grow your awareness of the history and legacy of the Indian Residential Schools and the children that never made it home.

Across Canada, numerous events are being held to commemorate this important day September 30. We encourage you to participate in these events, whether in person or virtually, to show your support and solidarity.

We have come a long way in our journey towards Reconciliation, and wearing orange today symbolizes our collective commitment to this cause. Let us honour the survivors, remember those who were lost, and continue to strive for a better future for all and that “Every Child Matters”.

RAIL STRIKE ANNOUNCEMENT

I am writing to inform you about the Canadian Rail Strike and its potential impact on our operations and customers. As you may already know, the strike will cause significant disruptions in the rail transport sector, affecting the movement of goods and materials across the country.

Given the importance of rail transport to our supply chain, we anticipate delays in the delivery of raw materials and finished products. Our logistics team is actively working on a contingency plan to mitigate these disruptions the best we can, including exploring alternative transportation methods and adjusting our management strategies.

We understand the challenges this situation presents and are committed to minimizing its impact on our operations and customers. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information is available.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Always wonderful to hear great feedback!

“The guys were very, very good. Ben, who was coordinating with the truck was accommodating, very nice, professional, a great team. They listened to us placing items, they unpacked what we asked them to unpack, and put things together. They were very, very good. We have recommended them twice.” – TB
