This quiet, secluded retreat is situated on Black Donald Lake, which offers approximately 27 miles of accessible waterway as part of the Madawaska River System connecting Bark Lake to the Ottawa River. The majority of the w
aterfront in the area in crown land and is uninhabited. It is close to a public boat launch (2 minute drive) and close to gas that is available on the water (less than 1 minute by boat). This cottage is brand new and offers 4200 sq/ft of living space on three levels and 200 feet of waterfront. It boasts large bedrooms and living spaces, 3 baths, large eating areas, 2 screened in covered porches, 2-60 inch televisions with blueray/dvd, Wifi, Bell ExpressVu, electric fireplace, Wii, foosball table, pool table, air hockey table and ping pong table. Bed linens available on request at additional cost. Kitchen includes a 42 sq/ft island, large fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee maker, regular coffee maker, kettle, toaster, pots & pans, crock pot, dishes, cutlery etc. Outside we offer a BBQ, patio furniture, fire pit and a large private dock for great swimming. If you are bringing a boat, there will be parking available at the dock for you. There are plenty of areas to explore nature and to take advantage of nearby walking trails and atv trails. The lake offers great fishing which includes Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass, Large Mouth Bass, Pickerel (Walleye), Whitefish, Perch, or Rock Bass. Also, take advantage of some of the great local attractions while you are visiting:

(Long weekend check-out is 11:00 am Monday). During peak times (July, August, Christmas, New Years, March Break), 50% deposit required to confirm the reservation (Full payment is required if booking is within 30 days of arrival). Balance is due 30 days before arrival along with the refundable damage/cleaning fee of $500. During non-peak period, 50% deposit required to confirm the reservation (Full payment is required if booking is within 2 weeks of arrival) and balance due 2 weeks before arrival along with the refundable damage/cleaning fee of $500. An email confirmation will be sent once the deposit is made. We will refund the damage/cleaning fee within 7 working days after departure providing the home is left in the same clean condition as upon arrival. All deposits are non-refundable unless cottage is rebooked.
2 day minimum stay policy. 3 day rentals on long weekends.

You will notice that we have a couple of barn board signs hung in the cottage by the fireplace. These are signs that were made by Teena McKitchen. I have shared her page for those that may have an interest in getting one of these signs from her or having one custom made.

If you are traveling to or from the Black Donald Oasis, consider stopping at the Spud Box. It is located in Kaladar at the intersection of Hwy 7 and Hwy 41. You can call ahead and place your order (recommended as they are generally very busy)...1-613-336-1660... they have great fries, awesome burgers, fantastic pulled pork poutine and an incredible Philly Cheese Steak. The portions are very generous. They only accept cash just FYI (there is a bank machine across the road at the gas bar in case you forget)

Calabogie Motorsports Park is the longest race track in Canada at 5.05 km. North America's Premier Driving Experience is 1 hour west of downtown Ottawa.
