Hello everyone! We hope that you all have been having a great winter! Believe it or not this year will mark the 10th anniversary of Adams Berry Farm!! In the spring of 2014 we started off by planting a modest 500 strawberry plants and it continued to grow from there! (yes, pun intended 🙂). Every year is a learning experience and this year has been no exception. We have taken everyone's feedback and suggestions into consideration and have devised a plan to help make your local market an even better experience. Come join us for our 2024 Annual Ice Fishing Derby. Derby subject to ice and weather conditions. Festivities will occur at 4 p.m. at the Matawatchan Hall regardless. There will be prizes, food for sale, cash bar and a 50/50 draw. All welcome regardless of whether you're fishing or not. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Calvyn's, Rosie's, Griffith Corner Store, BMR Griffith, Floyd's/Randy's Restorations Griffith and Pine Valley Restaurant Griffith. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has lifted the Restricted Fire Zone for our sector, as of today July 11, 2023. Fire Officials of the Township of Greater Madawaska are issuing a public notice to all residents and visitors that the Township has a LEVEL 1 FIRE BAN in effect. Campfires are permitted, however you are encouraged to continue to use caution. It’s a chilly one today at the Cove. Both Diane and Sue deftly handled the boiling water and even used slo-mo! So cool.

For those of you who love the Cove - we will look a little different than the last time you visited. We are excited to share two of three bathroom renovations with all of you (bathroom two in a separate post - bathroom three coming soon)!

Lori’s a #badass. Nothing she can’t do or won’t do to get Serenity Cove ready for the next guests… who are arriving today. Welcome back Martine and Marc!

A few new things happening at Serenity Cove. Just set up this vinyl centre, 100 or so albums to listen to,(mostly 70s and 80s), or bring your own!

Thought we we’re supposed to “spring forward” last night? Oh well, beautiful anyway❤️

What a spectacular winter morning, snow is light but non-stop. There are times when I think winter at the cottage is better than summer at the cottage. Warm fires, hot tub, hiking and absolute silence.

Incredibly calm this past weekend, hard to tell if it’s a video or a picture.

What we think you should know about us:

Kim and I bought this little piece of heaven to be a part of our future together. We can’t make it a permanent part of our love story yet so we will be opening it up to you so that you can make personal and family memories here. We just took possession in January of 2019 and we’ve spent every weekend since then getting it ready for you. We’ve cleaned and made a few repairs. Kim has poured everything she has into making each bedroom beautiful, each piece of art relevant to the location and every pillow and blanket a perfect match for the room. We are amazed every time we walk through the door and we hope you will feel the same way. To be completely honest, we bought this place in the dead of winter and haven’t seen what the waterfront looks like in the full light of summer but we have seen pictures and video and we are very excited. Truthfully though, our winter stays here have been amazing! The snow, the fireplace, the deer, the hot tub and the daily walks in the snow have made us winter lovers, ( I was kind of already but...this place has confirmed it. Kim loves the outdoors in winter now too!). Relax, sled, ice fish, hike, snowshoe, cross country or downhill ski, (Calabogie!!), it’s all here.

You’ve got to meet the neighbours and the people of Griffith and surrounding area. They are ridiculously nice and friendly. Calvyn’s Bar and Eatery,(amazing pizza and great people) the General Store, the Building Supply centre, Pine Valley Restaurant and let’s not forget Gary at the waste transfer station,(you gotta meet Gary!!), everyone has been so open and welcoming to Kim and I and I know they will be to you too.
