Temporary pause on intake of refugee sponsorship applications from groups of five and community sponsors:

Due to ongoing high demand, applications from private sponsors continue to exceed the private sponsorship spaces available under the immigration levels plan, resulting in a large and growing application inventory and lengthy processing times.
To provide more certainty to refugees abroad and sponsors in Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has temporarily stopped accepting new applications from groups of five and community sponsors under the PSR Program as of November 29, 2024.

اخبار جدید IRCC در مورد اجازه کاران همسران SOWP :
در 18 سپتامبر، وزیر میلر خاطرنشان کرد که این دپارتمان محدودیت‌های بیشتری را برای واجد شرایط بودن SOWP برای همسران دانشجویان در دوره‌های دکترا و دوره‌های کارشناسی ارشد، برنامه‌های حرفه‌ای منتخب، و برنامه‌های آزمایشی خاص ایجاد خواهد کرد.
این شامل محدود کردن صلاحیت اجازه کار برای همسران دانشجویان مقطع کارشناسی ارشد به “فقط کسانی است که مدت برنامه آنها حداقل 16 ماه است.”
تغییرات IRCC برای محدود کردن واجد شرایط بودن مجوز کار است که فقط شامل همسران کارگران بسیار ماهر و متخصص می شود. اینها شامل مدیران C-suite، دانشمندان، مهندسان، وکلا، اساتید و تکنسین ها، یا همسران کارگران در بخش هایی است که کمبود نیروی کار کلیدی وجود دارد.

Limits for Spousal Open Work Permits:

IRCC is also limiting work permit eligibility, later this year, to spouses of master’s degree students whose program is at least 16 months in duration. This is expected to result in 50,000 fewer spousal work permits being issued over the next three years. 
Unrelated to the international student program, Spousal Open Work Permits will also be limited to the spouses of Canadians or permanent residents who are employed in critical work sectors.

Cap for study permits:

IRCC ( Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada), will issue just 437,000 study permits in 2025. According to the department, this number is based on a 10% reduction from the 2024 target of 485,000 new study permits issued, and then stabilizing the intake cap for 2026.  
IRCC expects this to result in 300,000 fewer study permits being issued to international students over the next few years.

Canada ends temporary public policy allowing visitors to apply for work permits from within the country:

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has ended a Public Policy that allowed visitors to apply for a work permit from within Canada, effective immediately.

IRCC introduced the policy in August 2020 to help visitors who were unable to leave the country due to COVID-19 pandemic–related travel restrictions. Under the policy, visitors in Canada could apply for a work permit without having to leave the country. In addition, foreign nationals who had held a work permit in the previous 12 months but who changed their status in Canada to “visitor” could apply to work legally in Canada while waiting for a decision on their new work permit application.

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program – Updates

برنامه مهاجرت مزیت آلبرتا سیستم جدیدی برای ابراز علاقه در 30 سپتامبر 2024 راه اندازی خواهد کرد.
در نتیجه این سیستم جدید، AAIP با باقی مانده تاریخ های پذیرش درخواست ماهانه برای سال 2024 ادامه نخواهد داد.

روند درخواست جدید:

‏AAIP یک سیستم ابراز علاقه جدید را در 30 سپتامبر 2024 راه اندازی خواهد کرد.
پس از اینکه یک نامزد اظهار علاقه خود را ارسال کرد، در یک مجموعه انتخاب قرار می گیرد. AAIP از نامزدهای منتخب از آن مجموعه دعوت می کند تا بر اساس رتبه بندی نامزدها و نیازها و اولویت های بازار کار استانی درخواست دهند.
در نتیجه این سیستم جدید، AAIP با باقی مانده تاریخ های پذیرش درخواست ماهانه برای سال 2024 ادامه نخواهد داد زیرا سیستم جدید امکان پذیرش مداوم ابراز علاقه را فراهم می کند.
