There are only 2 weekends left of the season! We will be hosting a Bottle Drive Saturday, Oct 26! 9am-11:30am, next time you come for a paddle bring your bottles and give to our staff at the Boat Bay office, proceeds will be going towards our Youth Sprint athletes.

Great fall day for a wrap up regatta. The 1,2,4 team race was a hit for all paddlers and furry animals. Thanks coaches and parent volunteers.

2024 World Va’a (Outrigger) Sprints Experience - Written by Tom MacKay part of the 70+ Icemen crew. The paddlers faced many challenges such as poorly marked course, but the Icemen excelled despite these difficulties. They won gold in the V12 and both V-6 races, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and preparation throughout their journey. Read more on our website!

2024 Sprint National Championships experience - written by Meera Kalar. The championships were held in Welland Ontario, at the Welland International Flat water Centre. Hundreds of athletes from clubs across Canada attended. It was a challenge to acclimatize to the humidity and headwinds. However, once we set up and settled into our routine, we all focused on our races. This was my third time attending Nationals and this year was by far my favourite. Not only because we raced at a world class facility, it was a chance to display the accumulation of hard work and training.
My favourite events to compete in were the Junior K4 500 m and the U18 K2 1,000 m. I really enjoyed racing with my team in our crew boats. We had each other’s backs and I felt like we supported each other from the start to finish line. Because of our strong connection to the boat and to each other, we earned a bronze medal in the Junior K4 500m! This was a special experience for me as this was my first nationals medal. In August 2020, I attended my first kayak summer camp and was super excited to discover the sport. Ironically, Nationals were cancelled due to Covid. Four years later, I am grateful for the training and personal growth that paddling has given me. I am lucky to be a part of a team that is supportive and hard working!

Every year Divisionals seems to creep up faster and faster and before we know it, we are in the final preparation stage for National Championships! This past weekend we had just over 60 💚💛CCC💚💛 athletes compete in Regina at the Divisional Championships. Our U16 and up squad competed for lanes at the National Championships. Thank you to for hosting and to our parent volunteers and coaches for supporting our athletes at home and at competition. Thank you for capturing our team on the water. Next stop, Welland!

Float more boats: Silent Auction has started! This auction proceeds will be going to our Youth Sprint Canoe Kayak Team and will directly support by providing fund for new boats, paddles and training equipment from new paddlers to our experienced paddlers. Head to our website for all the details!

We are so proud to send Justin Boyko and Julia Demchuk off to represent Team Canada.
Justin will be competing at Jr. Worlds July 17-21 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
He will also be competing at the Olympic Hopes Regatta in Budapest, Hungary from September 5-8.
Julia will be competing at U23 World Championships from July 17-31 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
