That feeling when you pull up to the lobby only to realize that the photos are out of date? Not fun.

Should you go back to the Caribbean islands you know this winter, or try somewhere new?

You’re spoiled for choice in the Caribbean, there are so many gorgeous resorts and hotels and every island has its own things to explore.

Here are a few questions I ask my clients to help them narrow it down:

Fall travel reminders if you’re taking a trip this cozy season.
📌 Bookmark so you don’t lose track of this!

🍁 Double-check for seasonal closures: Some attractions and businesses may close or reduce hours after summer, so make sure you check ahead of time to avoid any disappointments.

🍁 Be ready for the weather: Depending on where you’re going, don’t forget to pack for chilly evenings and rain.

🍁 Don’t forget about harvest season: It may not be the reason you’re traveling specifically, but don’t forget to add those local farms, orchards, or vineyards to your itinerary!

🍁 Beware of the foliage crowds: Popular leaf-peeping spots can get really crowded, so plan ahead, arrive early, or hunt for those lesser-known spots.

🍁 Take advantage of shoulder season perks: As tourism slows after the summer rush, make sure you’re taking advantage of lower prices, special deals, and more personalized service at hotels, resorts, and tours.

If you’re booking a hotel or resort, you should really know the answer to this question 👇

This is going to sound a little bit out of left field but do you know if your hotel or resort is under construction?

Avoid the surprise of finding out you’re going to hear hammering from 8 AM to 5 PM for the duration of your stay by asking these three questions:

1️⃣ Renovation schedules: The first step is to find out. Call the hotel to ask if they will be planning any renovations during the dates of your stay.

2️⃣ Noise levels: Ask about potential noise disruptions and how they’re helping their guests make adjustments at night.

3️⃣ Room assignments: Request a room away from the renovation area or, if it’s not possible, consider a different hotel.

Clients are off to Bali this week for a honeymoon.

And I have to tell you about how we decided on their accommodations and activities.

This is my 5th time planning trips for this client and I knew we needed to get clear on their wishlist since this was their first time in Bali.

To understand my clients’ goals and preferences for their trip, I always have a discovery call.

After our initial chat, my client had clarity that they wanted a trip to relax and unwind.

As for activities, absolutely nothing is on the agenda because they want to just relax.
