Didn’t have to walk far this morning. Spied this little guy in my front yard. Went to get my camera and the battery is dead so had to stress him out a bit to get close with my phone camera.

Took way too many pics but now have lots for future paintings!!

I love Spring and all the wonderful colours and shapes that pop up.

I don’t usually take pictures of a full bunch of flowers but rather zoom in for the hidden details. But today I pulled back to capture this bright little bunch. The group is only about 2” minutes in diameter and are the first in my beds to bloom.

I rescued this violet from work where it didn’t get any light and quite blooming. I’m sure I have it for over 2 years and have diligently watered it weekly hoping it would flower.

To my total shock there are 🌸 🌸 flowers. My fingers are crossed that it will keep blooming.

My grandma had a table full of violet plants of all colors that she watered with her leftover tea. Maybe that is the trick. I’ll have to give it a try.

But for now I will enjoy the fruits of my TLC.

I’m thrilled to have been juried into the Calgary Stampede Mini Master Salon Wall.

The offers a number of opportunities for artists to showcase their work. It’s always an amazing display of beautiful work and well worth the time to check it out.

The Mini Masters is a collection of smaller pieces max 100sq in and priced $350 and under.

Closer to show time I’ll throw a sneak peak of some of my pieces you can find in the sow!!

Having done the HaLing hike a few years back it was fun imagining myself as a little speck at the top of the mountain. Maybe I’ll add a little red dot and call it me!!😂
