Over at Magic Kingdom, there will be a new Villains-inspired land and TWO Cars-inspired attractions coming to Frontierland.

Hello Kingston! What a cute little Canadian town full of history and exploration! It’s been a neat weekend exploring all you can see and do in Kingston! Had some time to explore the waterfront, downtown, Queen’s University and the Kingston Penitentiary Tour was icing on the cake! I’ve always been fascinated by prisons and this one was definitely a cool tour to experience as we walk through Canada’s first federal maximum security prison, first opened in 1835 and closed in 2013. 178 years of really neat history.

Some changes are happening and it’s more important than ever to let us know how important seat selection is when booking your flights. Each fare class comes with its own terms and conditions for inclusions and exclusions (seat selection, baggage, changes/cancellations, etc.)

Air Canada has made a significant change to their seating policy that travelers need to be aware of and we know that usually when one airline makes a change, it’s not too long that others may follow suit.

As of April 24, 2024, Here's what customers can expect...

Automatic seat assignment: When customers begin the check-in process, Air Canada will automatically assign a seat "free of charge" for those who have NOT purchased a seat in advance.

If they wish to change their automatically assigned seat, they can do so - for a fee.

Customers with Aeroplan Tier Status benefits are not impacted by this new process.

What you need to know: if you are booking Standard or Basic Fares, you also need to pre-purchase seat selection if you want to sit next to your travel partner(s).

These days flights are flying with almost all seats full. If you wait until check-in to be assigned the "free of charge" seats, it's highly likely you'll be getting middle seats & highly unlikely you'll be sitting with your person.

Lesson to note: Select and pay for your preferred seats at time of booking to avoid disappointment.

If sitting together while travelling is important, let us know in advance so we can book you the fares that make the most sense for you.

While it may feel like we sorta just started 2024 not too long ago, we can begin booking 2025 Walt Disney World packages (January to October 2025) starting tomorrow!

Happy Family Day! While it is always nice to have a day to spend with your family, it’s always been our travel adventures as a family that holds so many fun memories and experiences.

It’s been one year since Super Nintendo World opened at Universal Studios Hollywood and it continues to be the biggest draw to the parks since The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in 2016. Last year, I did have ideas and plans to visit the opening weekend but we ended up visiting family out of province instead as I felt that was more important. I’m glad I did because it was an incredibly heartwarming visit with family on the Family Day weekend last year and another reminder that we need to do that always. 🩷

Super Nintendo World waited and we had the pleasure of visiting in August to experience the fun land itself then.

Immerse your inner child into the world of Super Mario and all of the Super Nintendo fun! Meet the fun characters of Toad, Princess Peach or even Bowser, who is not as scary as you remember lol!
It’s a delightfully fun land with colours and sounds to bring to life the video game we all remember, love and cherish from our childhood, and one we can enjoy with our kids today too!

How bad of a vacation does it have to be worth it for a great deal?

I get it. I am totally drawn to the allure of a great price when I see one too! But I have learned over the years through experiences that many times, it is soooo worth it to spend a little bit more for an overall better experience.

It’s your vacation. It’s time for you to escape reality and experience something amazing, and different away from regular life. And you want to be 100% in the moment to completely enjoy it. (And not have to take 5 different milk-run flights with long and inconvenient layovers to get there before you can enjoy it!)

When people think about the hotel and how they “only need a place to sleep and shower”, it’s only partially true. How relaxed, and rejuvenated will you really be if you are sleeping on a hard mattress with crappy pillows? Or bathrooms with facilities that don’t work properly or do not appear to meet cleanliness standards? Or with mediocre food selections and limited choices? Or scratchy towels that don’t actually dry? Or are located in an inconvenient location away from the popular vacation highlights? Do you really want your first impression of your accommodations to be “Ewwwwww….”??

Staying in subpar accommodations can significantly detract from the enjoyment and relaxation a vacation is supposed to provide. Instead, you go on vacation to experience something far more luxurious (not less) than your regular home life!

Plan in advance for a wider range of options for travel dates, accommodation selections and activities. Waiting longer means paying premium prices and limited availability. You’re either paying higher prices for the same option months ago, or paying more for something less desirable because options are limited and you have to select whatever is remaining (because all the good options are no longer available).

The last Tuesday in January is “Plan for Vacation Day” and it’s the perfect time to start thinking about your upcoming travel plans for the year.

We can’t stress it enough! Plan early for the best choice - better accommodations and flight itineraries so you can enjoy a truly stress-free vacation experience! And work with a travel advisor to help you navigate through the wealth of information available in the planning stages so you can filter through the unnecessary noise and focus on what makes most sense for you and your family!

Imagine waking up one morning and deciding you want to visit Disneyland? 🏰

That’s exactly what one family did! Decided they wanted to go to Disneyland next month and BOOM! They are booked to go and stay at the Disneyland Hotel! I love it when a spark of an idea turns into reality in just a few hours and I admire the courage for those who take the leap towards amazing adventures!

There is going to be one very excited little girl who currently has no idea of what is happening but two very excited parents and one super excited travel advisor keeping things under wraps until she lands in Anaheim and walks towards the park entrance! Can you imagine her face and her surprise when she finally figures out where she is?? As a parent, those moments are beyond precious, and worth their weight in gold!

Seeing the magic through your child’s eyes is an incredibly magical moment that only Disney can do, in a way that Disney knows best. It’s these moments that make my heart flutter and burst with joy because in reality, we are all still that super excited child that remains in awe when we are amazed beyond wonder when something magical happens. And if we are not, where did that inner child go?

As we close out 2023, this is my time to reflect on the past year, and the past several years.

Ten years ago, I took a leap of faith and decided to become an independent travel advisor. My heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy at this milestone as I reflect on all that has happened on this adventure.

It’s been a decade of creating memories, fostering dreams, and turning wanderlust ideas into reality, both for myself, and for you as your trusted travel advisor. From the beginning, I just wanted to travel more, and to help families travel more. That was the simplicity of it. But the simplicity of it is that travel transforms ordinary ideas into extraordinary experiences with unforgettable memories that linger in our hearts and minds long after the bags are unpacked.
