This is exciting!! Disney has just announced that beginning Sep. 9th, guests will be able to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run through a standby queue or as a Lightning Lane Single Pass experience.

TRON Lightcycle / Run is one of our favourite rides, and a must do on our vacation. Having the flexibility to jump in a standby queue or purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass and not have to worry about grabbing that early morning virtual queue is definitely welcome news.

☔ So I have been watching the weather in Orlando closely. Not because I'm heading there (I wish) but because I'm always paying attention to what is happening at the parks. There may be a ton of rain at Walt Disney World recently, but I stand by the saying "a rainy day at Disney beats a sunny day anywhere else"!

🌦️ Some seasons, like summer, it rains pretty often in Florida. Walt Disney World is built for it. And while we all want picture-perfect weather on our vacations, you don’t get to experience a Rainy Day Cavalcade when the sun is out! A few more benefits...the local crowd stays home, making wait times and lines shorter. 🍦🥨 Plus, the ice cream and pretzels still taste the same. All you need to do is arrive prepared. 🎒

Bring trusty ponchos with you to avoid buying the pricey Disney Parks version. Bring extra pairs of shoes (there are dryers in the laundry areas of the resorts) and maybe even invest in shoe covers. (Yes, that’s a thing!) Best of all, show your kiddos YOUR inner child by dancing in the rain and splashing in puddles. How do you handle rainy Disney days?

🎂🧙‍♂️ Happy Birthday to Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived! Our favorite wizard turns 44 years old today ✨️

You don’t have to be a Harry Potter fan to love being in Universal’s Wizarding World, but if you are...you will feel so at home (like this is where you were always meant to hang your house robe). The theming, attractions, food and atmosphere are spot on. (Even down to Moaning Myrtle’s voice in a bathroom!)

Seeing is believing and if you’ve never been, there’s no better time than the present.

One of my favourite parts of a Disney vacation is getting to see Tinker Bell fly during the Magic Kingdom fireworks...this view though, can you imagine! 🎆🧚‍♀️😬

This is the zip line that Tinker Bell would use to magically “fly” towards the Tomorrowland Terrace during Wishes. Imagine how scary this would be at night!

🦈 Ever been to Bruce's Sub House at EPCOT’s SeaBase? This JAWSome playground is themed after the wanna-be friendly shark from Finding Nemo. It’s packed with interactive elements to teach kids while they play. And, it’s got a pretty epic photo op! If REAL sharks are your thing, they’re here too. This pavilion is a giant indoor educational playground with plenty of ocean life to see and learn about, but also has plenty of space to cool down and relax for a minute when you need a break from the heat.

If you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of Disney history. I love being able to share fun historical facts with others, and here is a special one...

Walt and Lillian Disney were married on this day in 1925. For their 30th wedding anniversary in 1955, they celebrated at the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland just days before the official grand opening of the Disneyland park. Through 1986, the popular Golden Horseshoe R***e stage show was performed here. (Think Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e on a smaller scale.) Walt loved the wild west vaudeville show so much, he invited 300 people to attend the first official performance as part of an anniversary celebration!

Today, the Golden Horseshoe is a two-level quick service oasis in the heart of Frontierland serving typical theme park fare.
At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, the very similar Diamond Horsehoe is a sit-down restaurant serving the menu from Liberty Tree Tavern.

Have you been lucky enough to try these Cheeseburger Pods?

At Satu'li Canteen over at Pandora - The World of Avatar, you will find one of my favourite quick-service meals at Disney's Animal Kingdom. These delicious pods are stuffed with all the goodness of a cheeseburger (including pickles...yum!) wrapped in a soft bao bun and served with slaw and vegetable chips. So good!!

🧙‍♂️🪄🧙‍♀️ Diagon Alley opened 10 years ago today!

This land is hands down one of the most immersive and unbelievable lands in a theme park that I have ever seen. It is impossible not to be completely swept away when walking into this area of the park, especially when you see the Gringotts Dragon breathing actual fire for the first time 🤯

From the goblins in Gringotts (they look so real) to Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes and of course the creepy darkness that is Borgin & Burkes that will have you looking over your shoulder and clutching your house robes, a visit to Diagon Alley is a must-do experience. Don't forget to grab a Butterbeer at one of the three locations where you will find it here, and exchange your muggle money for Gringotts bank notes that can be used for purchases within Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade and at select locations throughout Universal Orlando Resort. 🍺💰

Seeing really is believing when it comes to Diagon Alley, and even then it feels like absolute magic…this land really does take on a life of its own ✨️

It's the start of Shark Week today, so this is the perfect time to remind you to be sure to stop and say hi to Bruce the next time you are at Universal Orlando Resort. Located at the San Francisco section of Universal Studios Florida, this is a great photo op and definitely a must-do for any Jaws fan.

🌴🛳️ Have you heard? Disney Cruise Line’s new island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is open!

Located on the Bahamian Island of Eluthera, this new port was developed with environmental protection and cultural inclusion at the forefront, so you’ll immediately notice a few differences from Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. For starters, the 1/2 mile long walk to the island is to preserve the natural reef. I would say that is definitely worth the extra steps!

🎉🤠🐷🦖🪀Happy 6th birthday to Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios!

This land fits so seamlessly and has some of THE most clever Imagineering and film nods in the parks. From the perfectly faded popsicle stick benches to Andy’s giant concrete footprint, this land is so immersive and fun. It’s Andy’s backyard for sure and we are just the toys in town on a play date.

Make sure to prioritize a lightning lane for Slinky Dog Dash, as these go FAST! And once you take a ride on this awesome kid-friendly coaster, grab a Lunch Box Tart at Woody's Lunch Box before competing for the most points over at Toy Story Mania. And don't forget to keep an eye out for the Green Army men while you're there!!

I also suggest visiting Toy Story Land both during the day and at night if you are able to. You don't want to miss all of the fun theming during the day, but there is definitely something extra magical when those year-round holiday lights turn on at night.

From the characters and rides to the food and entertainment, you don't want to miss a visit to this immersive and fun land.
