Sept 29th | Disney Skyliner Opened 2019

It may not be the Highway in the Sky 🚄, but it could be considered the Most Magical Flight in “the World”! So what makes the Disney Skyliner special AND what are the must-know topics? 🚡

• It’s transportation + an attraction! 🎢 Not only does it connect EPCOT and Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, but it’s a fun way to take a midday park break from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.

• It is the only way to get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios from the Skyliner resorts 🚡 unless it is down for weather 🌧️ or technical issues ⚙️. In either case, there will be buses available 🚌.

• Occasionally, something happens at a Skyliner station that necessitates a slow down 🕒. If you are onboard during one of these moments, don’t panic! 😅 There is still a breeze, so just enjoy the views and have some fun conversation about your trip so far! ✨

Are you Team Skyliner? Or Team Keep My Feet on the Ground? 🚡 🦶

Pro Tip: Even if you aren’t staying at a resort on the Skyliner route, you can STILL ride it! 🚡 In fact, I urge you to make an excuse to ride it! Whether you are taking a park break to grab a bite to eat at a new-to-you resort 🍽️, or even just riding for the views, it’s a ride you need to take at least once. My favorite way to ride is a trip over to Disney’s Riviera Resort for a quick service meal at Primo Piatto 🍕. The ride is relaxing, and the resort is breathtaking 🌟, so do some exploring! Oh please...Toothsome Chocolate Emporium isn’t just about the sweets 🍫, they do savory REALLY well too! When you think of Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, your mind probably goes straight to those towering milkshakes and decadent desserts, right? 🥤🍰

But let me tell you, they have a GREAT food menu 🍽️. Two standout fan-favorite menu items you need to try: Chocolate Almond Bread with Salted Caramel Butter 🍞🧈 and the Monte Cristo Sandwich 🥪. Savory, decadent, and delicious! 😋

Sept 12th | National Video Game Day

😎 One does not just ENTER THE GRID. TRON Lightcycle/Run, one of the newest thrill rides at Magic Kingdom, takes a little extra planning to be able to ride. Here’s a couple of tips:

🚷 For starters you can’t hop in a Standby line for this one, so you’ll either need to join a Virtual Queue Boarding Group the day of your visit or purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass. 📲⚡

🌞🌙 Secondly, it’s totally different depending on the time of day that you ride! There is an amazing outdoor portion of the ride that just feels different in the daylight vs when lit up after dark. With some strategy (and a few extra bucks) you can do both!

🎬 For a better experience, watch BOTH Tron movies. I’ll warn you,, the original movie is a bit cheesy and dated while the newer Tron: Legacy is more modern, but there are so many nods to the films in the queue, during the ride, and in the merchandise. You’ll just appreciate the experience much more.

August 30th | National Beach Day

🏖️ Disney’s Castaway Cay seriously set the bar for cruise line private islands. It’s home to a top-notch family beach, a peaceful adult only beach, multiple dining options, activities for kids, adults, the whole family, and the opportunity to see some of our favorite Disney pals. You can spend the day doing exactly what you want (which includes nothing at all), and no one will be bored!

🚢✈️Cruise vacations are all about me and we time! On board you will find fantastic adult only areas to enjoy and explore to unwind, unplug and recharge your own batteries. The kids will be crazy about the Disney Cruise Line kids clubs and will want to spend every second there. When you CAN tear your kids away, there are also loads of fantastic shows and activities for you to do as a family.

🧇🌤️National Waffle Day gives us license to have waffles for every meal today! If I were in Disney today, I would start my morning with the chocolate-hazelnut drizzled waffle from Sleepy Hollow (there is a fruit serving involved too) 🍌and then maybe grab some chicken and waffles from the Grand Floridian Cafe’ before their brunch menu ended! Where would you be getting your waffle fix from today?

🫣💥We’ve got some controversy folks! Remember when it was said that food is always better Mickey shaped? Some Walt Disney World visitors want to retract that statement after the recent big waffle change at Magic Kingdom’s Sleepy Hollow. 🧇

Previously, the hand-held version came with mixed fruit and chocolate-hazelnut spread on a round waffle. Today, it’s Mickey shaped with bananas, chocolate-hazelnut drizzle and whipped cream and requires a fork and knife to enjoy. 🍽️

🏰🚕🌳 In two words I’ll tell you why Disneyland wins for toddlers: Mickey’s Toontown. With interactive play areas (they can touch everything!), family-friendly attractions, safe spaces to run around, shady spots, dining options and restrooms, it truly is the ultimate toddler playground. Not to mention those coveted photos of meeting Mickey and Minnie at their cute homes! 🏡

🫣You can stop looking, I’ve found your new Disney Springs dining hot spot! 🍽️❤️‍🔥 I’ll admit, whenever a new restaurant opens, there is a lot of hype around it-warranted or not. However, Summer House on the Lake lives up to it all!

☀️🌴🍪Picture a breezy beach house vibe, open airy spaces, an eclectic menu that caters to just about all palettes, an in-house cookie bar and an ever-present feeling of being on vacation.

Take a look at this menu and share what you would order. Pictured are the Brussel Sprouts, Pop-Overs, Lemon Chicken Picatta (it was a special) and a warm PB cookie with ice cream.

The first time I went to Disney, I couldn’t believe how much I learned. I went on the ride body wars and learned all about red and white blood cells. Turns out when I got back to school, That was the next unit we learned about in science. Thanks Disney for making learning fun! I love taking my kids to Epcot now.
