As we celebrate the end of our 30th winter season of dogsled tours, we wish to express our gratitude to the amazing team of guides that worked to provide excellent dog care and great customer service all winter. Thank you! Working an outdoor job in the winter is challenging as well as physically demanding, and this crew kept a positive attitude though the season, working well together with the common bond of being a musher with a dogsled team on the mountain trails (and the love of dogs!). Some will continue to work with the dogs at the kennel, and others are off to a new summer adventure. Wishing everyone a well deserved break, safe travels, and lots of sunny days ahead.

It's just too warm! The April showers were not kind to our trail, so the season has come to and end. Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful spring weather!

Lita has found her new home! We are so happy to see former musher/guide Addi give Lita a new home in her senior years. An excellent fit, Lita will be part of an active mountain home while trading her sleddog lifestyle for a leisurely family retreat. Thank you Addi, our hearts are full!

The last of our team include these guides from European countries. From Germany, Tjalf (with Ice), better know as "T", has embraced the mountain man lifestyle with the full beard to keep him warm while working outside all winter! Also from Germany, Levi is on his gap year, spending the winter in Canmore with plans to travel around western Canada for the year. Michal (with Cooper) comes from Slovakia, recently arriving in Canada to the February cold spell and is hoping to see as much of western Canada as possible on his working holiday.

The second half of our Australian Crew: Kat (with Pirate) has switched over from working with kids in summer camps to sleddogs in winter. Jack (with Larry) guided with us last winter season, and is back for some dogsled fun after a snowmaking season. Jaden (with Blue) joined us in November and has immersed himself in the snowboarding lifestyle, injuries and all!

Meet the first half of our Aussie crew! Jack (with Efrem) is enjoying the switch from horses to dogs while spending time learning to skate. Simon (with Therese) is rounding off his guiding career by adding dogsledding to the skill set. Tess (with Nicolai) is taking a break from nursing and spending the winter in a very Canadian job!

Meet the New Zealand crew! Jordan (wth Gaya) is back on at Howling Dog Tours as a guide, having spent a couple months in our office last season. Amy (wth Hippo) has started her travelling adventures here in Canada coming from a background working with horses. Nice to have their smiling faces on our team!

Coming from across the Atlantic, these adventure seeking guides have chosen to work in the Canadian rockies for the winter. Tom (with Uber), Seb (with Syd and Rambo) and James (with Ace) are from England, and Ailbe (with Kevin) comes from Ireland. These guys keep the team laughing, never having a dull moment!

The Canadian crew: In addition to Sacha and Sara, we have Ben, recently returning to guide, having worked from mid-winter last season as well as casual at the kennel post season. Ben (seen with Turbo) comes from small town Alberta and is a snow board enthusiast. Ronan (with Bear) came aboard at the onset of our winter season, eager to guide and carry on the tradition of his extended family in Ontario!
