If you are hoping to get into Lake O’Hara this summer, my advice to you is go with a guide! As guides we have access to the guide quota, I can take up to 5 people a day. I’m taking requests right now for the 2025 season. To get on my list contact me by March 20.

You have to win the lottery for day-use shuttle access, but there are other ways of getting to this stunning lake in the Canadian Rockies.

It was the first Biathlon race of the season. My daughter was happy with her results. The coolest moment for me was seeing the principal of her high school cheering for her and her teammates.

Summer guiding is done and now we ski😀. When you live in an area with 8 months of winter you need to like winter sports. Nordic skiing is amazing exercise.

Today I went for a hike with some girlfriends. One of the nicest moments was we all took a pause (nap) in a bed of moss. This is just what our nervous systems needed. What are you doing to pause these days?

Today I guided a group of 70+ folks from Canmore. It was my biggest day of hiking all summer…2 alpine routes =10km & 550 m up on really challenging terrain. I hope I’m that fit in my 60’s & 70’s.
