This weekend The Point saw highs of 22 degrees! Most other times the weather was still quite brisk 😝

Getting the property prepped after a stormy winter is going well! (thanks mom, lol!!!).

Meet Forbes… the original owner of the property now dubbed The Point!

He lives nearby and saw us working in the yard, so he brought over some freshly caught and just cooked lobster 🦞

Forbes bought the land in 1953, built the first house in 1988, and sold in 2006-ish. There were two owners between him and I.

Lobster and good conversation… don’t mind if I do!

It's soooo comfy and perfect for lounging.

This space offers 3 side tables, and two movable wood armrests, so that everyone can have a place for their drink or TV dinner 😎

😱In the end, all the hiccups were worth it! Here's one to try to forget...

That time you had just finished painting the walls, and then the floor needed some cutting, and then the vacuum broke, and then you hid in the closet to cry?

I pretend like I don't remember, but I do.

Thankfully Jen is the best cleaner in town... so dust is gone now 😅

Grab one of the provided board games (there's a TON!!), and spend the night in good ol fashioned fun with the family.

🏖 Battleman's: At the end of Point Aconi Road, 4km walk or drive. Beautiful sand. Adjacent the Point Aconi Power Plant.

🏖 Florence: A personal fav and absolute stunner. 8 mins drive. Follow signs for the beach!

🏖 Christie's: A stunner for sunsets on the Bras d'Or. 8 mins drive.

🏖 Lockman's: Coarse sand, super private. Picnic areas and park nearby! 10 mins drive.
.. don't forget about the direct water access to the Bras d'Or right from The Point!!
