Inspiration: Saturated, transparent colour and silver are the inspirations for my contemporary flameworked jewellery. I love the colour of the light that passes through transparent glass. I use an oxygen and propane torch to melt the glass and wind it onto a mandrel. The beads are annealed in the kiln and the silver findings are forged at the workbench. Success is when a visitor walks into the studio and says "Ah!

Last night was magical for me! I am so proud of the work that I did for this production. The set was designed by Khushi Chavda. I made the floor! Tea dyed letters in Bengali. Khushi says "Create for joy". The whole team did just that. Four more performances at the Watermark Theatre in North Rustico. GO!!!!!!!

I have the coolest job this summer.
I'm the Props Buyer for a big TV series!!!

The Props Master continually adds items to our Todist list and I search high and low for them. It's like a treasure hunt! I found all 16 items on Friday's list!!!! That's like a grand slam? 🤗

It's so challenging to photograph glass beads. Usually I shoot them outside in the full sun, but I've been experimenting with shooting them inside with lights so I don't have to wait for a sunny day. I do like the softer shadows though. Here are the Sunrise Earrings.

Like everyone else, my life took some blows this year but not as badly as most folks. I had to close my wonderful studio of 15 years. The general advice was to pivot to an online shop. During that process I took photos and finally found an editing program that suits me. Helping my elderly Mom through this time was difficult, because she lived in a community care home. She passed away, unexpectedly, two weeks ago. I'm a tumbled mess of uncertainty.

I'd like to start sharing the photos that I took, with you. This is the first. Sunrise, in a cluster necklace.
