"The rock reef at North Cape in Prince Edward Island stretches approximately two kilometres offshore and is the longest natural rock reef in North America. The North Cape Lighthouse was built to warn sailors of this marine hazard which was the site of many early shipwrecks. The reef is one of the favourite attractions at North Cape – visitors can walk out onto the reef at low tide, exploring the tidal pools, watching the gulls and enjoying the seals relaxing in the sheltered waters. When the tides rise, watch for the “meeting of the waters” as the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Northumberland Strait come crashing together."

Dalvay's history dates back to the late 19th century. Originally built in 1896 as a summer residence for a wealthy oil tycoon, Alexander McDonald, it was later transformed into a seaside hotel.

Over the years, Dalvay has undergone changes in ownership and renovations, but its Victorian charm and coastal setting have remained.

Today, Dalvay stands as a National Historic Site of Canada, preserving its historic architecture and offering guests a unique blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort.

As we were driving through Fortune this evening you could see the warm front being pushed out by the cold front. This picture doesn’t do it justice. Pretty cool looking!
