Based out of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, D.P. Murphy Inc. was founded by Danny Murphy in 1980 with the opening of two Tim Horton’s restaurants on Prince Edward Island. Since then, the company has grown to include five premier brand names throughout Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Quebec. They also operate Oak Acres Children’s Camp in various locations across Eastern Canada.
The company’s hotel division has earned many accolades and operates many award-winning properties. The portfolio of accommodation properties at the moment include the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Charlottetown, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Saint John, the Quality Inn & Suites in Charlottetown, the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Moncton, Dalvay by the Sea, the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Sydney, the Future Inns Hotel & Conference Centre in Halifax, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Fredericton, Four Points by Sheraton in Moncton, Quality Inn Dieppe Airport, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Moncton, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Moncton, and the Hampton Inn & Suites in Charlottetown.
