Trying to ride through this lower area was funny as hell. I only fell 4 times. You couldn’t turn it was so thick so I’d straight line lean back and keep the nose up all went good till I hit a log and launched cause I was going pretty fast trying to skip over the bushes landed and was ok didn’t land on anything hidden or get impaled by anything. I walked the rest the way down. Glad we’re getting a bunch snow this week should cover that up lol.

Yesterday we rode 130kms just checking s**t out. I didn’t put it in the ditch, get stuck, feel like I was hit by a train afterwards or run outta fuel, that last one was close tho I rode for about a hour while the gauge read empty. It was a good day. 🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔

Avalanche or stopping in the deep pow? This was a super fun line, spicy in the middle pretty narrow between two big cliff bands wasn’t too long kinda was craved out in a S shape. Was stoked on how I rode this managed the sluff through the chute perfectly go faster than it don’t hit the rock wall that’s 10’ wide. Wish I could of got a picture of it but didn’t wanna be stopped in the middle of a huge slide path that funnels the snow right down the middle. Really getting sick of this blue sky been 6 days now no precipitation, as of now none till Tuesday 👎🏼.

This one time it snowed a lot in early October. It was windy and the snow drifts were high. One the most memorable skin tracks with the drifts tower over you. Even the off season doesn’t disappoint

Saw a wild cat in its natural habitat yesterday. She plays rough. Feels like I was hit by a train today, holy s**t I thought I was in shape. Mind you we did go out for 7 hours yesterday and only stopped 3 times oh wait plus 2 dig outs so 5 times 2 working stops. - [ ] 🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔

This was 1 of 3 photo I took today. Today was brutal the skin/ hike plus the weather but it was dumping so I’m not really complaining to much about that it was more the snow on the trees falling on you for 3 hours straight bushwhacking through alders and tight trees on skis for 600m we finally reached the good stuff the skin track was 30-40cms deep the last 500m was a mental test and slow. Was it worth it for the 4 min of waste deep turns ahhhh idk about that. They were pretty great tho. It dumped all day and most our skin track was filled in by the time we got down. Good conditioning day at least. Got a good first hand look at early season conditions, I wasn’t the one going to the hospital with a possible broken wrist hitting a rock half way down. All in all good day and it’s only gonna get better. 🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔

On my last night shift I could see all the way down the valley and noticed the lower slopes Phillips had snow on them after the warm weather we got. Then we got about 20cms in town and a lot more down the end the valley. I’ve been back here quite a few times it’s a long skin in 10kms of old logging roads before you even get to point up wards and ride. Well the snow storm didn’t disappoint that’s for sure. Got to ride 2 laps and plugged out 21kms and 1200 and something meters. What a great day. 🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔

It’s Hoodie season!! I love hoodies and have owned a lot but this one takes the cake. It so just soo darn comfy I never wanna take it off. I think back to this summer and still in awe I made it here 3 times. What a wild place. This year I really pushed myself to learn how to trad climb and climb cracks. Gotta say it was a great success. Pretty confident in my gear placement fell on gear leading 2 times caught and held me. Really worked on rope direction rubbing all that jazz, gear managment, and anchors. Pretty stoked to get out there next summer. Possibly this winter 🤔. 🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔
