During this time of year, usually, the lake turns to ice, and streams slow down. But these days, it looks like it's still fall. It feels magical when the shadow of sunset reflects on trees and lakes, and the trees look glowing.

Witnessing the beautiful sunset on East Lake right here at Oasis of Sandbanks is always a wonderful treat.

Mayor Steve Ferguson and Council invite you and your family to celebrate the traditions of the New Year at the Winter Family Fun Day and New Year’s Levee on Sunday, January 5, 2025!

🎉The celebration will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street)

While much of northern Ontario is blanketed in snow, the Oasis of Sandbanks remains green and brown.

I miss my little slice of heaven, my sanctuary. I miss the comfort of nature, the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore and the vivid colours of sunsets.

Even during the cold of winter and the cottages stand empty and locked away, my heart longs for the quiet peaceful place, a place that grounds me and brings clarity to my mind.

For now, I’ll settle for these memories kept through the images.

Oasis of Sandbanks signing off for 2024 season. Due to early inquiries we are opening the 2025 booking calendar. We will accept early bookings.

Our water filtration technician’s presence signifies the formal closing of the cottage operation for the season. We invested in water filtration system to make sure that our guests have clean water to use. During winter they winterize the place and turn off the filtration system.

Know that when you rent our cottages, you have access to a clean water.
