Get excited, Clearwater, Kangeiko is coming back!

This time, the teaching roster includes Ben Peacock (CAF 6th dan, Chief Instructor of Burloak Aikikai Aikido), Kim Riddick (CAF 5th dan, Chief Instructor of North Delta Aikikai - Aikido Club), Grant Babin (CAF 5th dan, Chief Instructor of aikidaily.com), and me (that would be Myrna Harrod-Taniguti, CAF 3rd dan, Chief Instructor of Clearwater Aikikai), along with youth classes taught by Rebecca Sargent (2nd dan, Co-instructor at the Kootenay Aikido Collective) and Phil Kirwin (2nd dan, Vancouver West Aikikai).

So happy to be able to host my aiki-brothers and aiki-sisters at an event designed to focus on deepening connections: between uke and nage, among dojos, and between our dojo and the local community.

Winter waterfalls are pretty spectacular too!

Located in British Columbia, Canada, Helmcken Falls is a powerful waterfall that ejects a lot of spray into the air. During colder winters, this results in the formation of an enormous ice cone, which can grow to be 200 feet (60 meters) tall or more. Even in June, remnants of the cone can still be seen.
